Really flavorful sauce for your pizza
I was honestly skeptical at first because this pizza sauce is on the thinner side but it proved me wrong! It baked up deliciously! The taste is slightly sweet and herby - actually perfect. It spreads well and evenly across the crust and tastes just as great after baking. This is a really good value and the flavor packs a punch. It’s also easy to fit a large spoon in the jar. It's changed as of May 2025 and is now not good.
This went off the shelves for a while when they were redoing the recipe. It came back in April or May 2025. Totally different and not in a good way. Different taste - not good, water is the first ingredient, and they’re using canola oil. Who cares if it’s organic if it has inflammatories in it. This is so disappointing as it was our favorite sauce and I couldn’t wait for it to return. On to find another product as our staple. This is now a hard no.

Cheaped out on ingredients, now sauce is ruined
This used to be our go-to sauce, but sometime recently Target switched up the ingredients, making water the #1 ingredient and replacing soybean oil with canola oil. These changes have greatly diminished this sauce, which is a real shame. Definitely avoiding in the future...

So disappointing that the recipe recently changed. The old version was well spiced and think, the new version is watery and too ‘tomato-y’ but not in a good way. Severely lacking the rounded flavor that was present in the prior version. Target, please bring back the old recipe! And ditch the canola oil!

Delicious, but... Canola
Sauce was surprisingly delicious! I agree with other user that the canola oil is an unhealthy bummer. Wish this could be made with olive oil, even if that came with a higher price tag.

Tasty classic sauce for your pizza
This is a good pizza sauce. The texture is similar to crushed tomatoes. It is nicely seasoned, I think the right balance of basil and oregano. Doesn’t have a natural tomato sweetness but it doesn’t taste too acidic either. I feel like it could use just a touch more salt. It’s a nice rich red color. I appreciate that the tomatoes are organic. Overall good product. I received an incentive to write this review.

Delicious sauce for your family!
I picked up the food and gather organic pizza sauce orginally for pizza night but ended up using it over pasta and it was delicious! The flavor is rich with balanced notes of garlic and a classic tomato base. I love that it’s organic, has no added sugar and contains clean simple ingredients. I tossed it with some pasta, added in some meat and it turned into a meal my whole family enjoyed. I received an incentive to write this review.

Delicious pizza sauce — good healthy flavors and you can definitely taste the basil and parsley. There are no artificial flavors and it’s certified organic. We used this both as a pizza sauce (tasty!) and had a little left over, which I gave to my young daughter so she could try these flavors as part of baby led weaning. She loved the easy to spoon tomato! Would definitely use again for pizza night I received an incentive to write this review.

It’s good! I actually will use it as a dip for mozzarella sticks, or for pasta sauce in a pinch. I like that it’s organic but I don’t like that they used canola oil. I would buy this again. It doesn’t have chunks of tomato in it which is also a bonus for our family. It doesn’t have added sugar, and I really like that it is in a glass jar, not plastic. I would maybe add a little Italian seasoning if I used it as a pasta sauce though. I received an incentive to write this review.
