T-fal 1.8L Stainless Steel Electric Deep Fryer

I have had my for years and is the most practical fryer by far. Easy to clean one touch filtering and larger family size. It is economical because the filtering more frequently allows oil to keep from spoiling or burning.

I bought this for a birthday gift. It worked great the first time. The next time it never got hot. You can stick your finger in the grease as it was on high. Very disappointed and of course it was after 45 days.

I've had really great results from this fryer. I love that the oil can be stored in the bottom and that the filtration system does a decent job. Occasionally I've had to pour some oil out of the top when the filter gets clogged. This tends to happen if the oil gets too cold or if the particles are too small, especially with flour or rice flour coatings. To me, that's a minor issue since the whole thing comes apart, making it easy to pour the oil out. I also love that almost everything is dishwasher safe and that is amazing! As for the comments about the oil container leaking: yes, once you pull it apart to wash it, you need to make sure it's snapped back together properly and pour the oil back in slowly to ensure it doesn't come apart. Once I figured out those nuances, I find it to be a great fryer overall.

No electronics to fail, fast to temperature, quick temperature recovery, and plenty of room for food. Cleaning the oil helps make the oil last longer than traditional units.

Terrible, oil leaking from the top of the container, you’ll spent a lot of money in oil only to find it’s not a real deep fryer the basket sits higher than expected. Then you have a shirt cable, a single light that turn off when it get to temperature… this is a n accident waiting to happen! Soooo disappointing.

The fryer worked very well. However, after maybe a dozen uses, the little piece of metal tack-welded on the tub to hold the basket while oil drained from it, just fell off. I've never fried anything heavy, just french fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, etc. Two little dots, that's all the manufacturer decided was necessary to tack on that piece of metal, no screws going through or permanent weld.

Outstanding EZ Clean Fryer! We needed a new counter top fryer so we knew we had to go with whatever Americas Test Kitchen recommended. They NEVER let us down.

We have only had this item for a short time, but we love how it works. It is pretty cool to filter the oil from the debris left from the breading and cooking. Great deep fryer

This is an excellent deep fryer; it heats up quickly and the food comes out crispy. However, I would like a longer magnetic power cord, and I hope it will be added to the accessories so I can purchase it.

I have owned several fryers over the years. I am so excited to Finally have one that is self cleaning. We used it this morning to make breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were cooked evenly and the taste is so good. Thank you T-Fal! They offer pay in 4!!!

Had issues from the beginning and t-fal wouldn't address any of them. Parts missing and they wouldn't replace them or even sell me the missing parts, just kept referring me back to the store where I bought it. The oil keeps leaking all over the counter even when not in use.

This deep fryer gives you clean/filtered oil every time. I love how my food comes out of it and taste. Clean up is super easy.

Mostly pleased with this Fryer, The filter system works and avoids having to tip the oil out in to a container, enabling the other parts to be cleaned. The mains flex cable could do with being 200-250mm longer and the red thermostat neon / led could do with being slightly raised towards the front for better visibility especially under bright extraction fan lights. But overall a nice fryer and addition to the kitchen.

I used to have a round compact fryer by Tefal. It served many years so naturally was leaning towards the same brand. It's a shame they aren't doing round ones anymore. This fryer is fairly small so it doesn't take much space. However, I wish the inside was bigger. The outside takes more space, which takes away from the inside space. That's a big minus I'd say. I don't need it to look as a mini professional fryer, I need it compact and large inside to fry more. It works great. I love the oil filtering addition. I was always too lazy to wash my old one but now I can keep it looking brand new and have cleaner oil each time. I wish the heating gear wasn't exposed to the oil though. It would be nice if I didn't have to refer to the book for the temperatures and it would have the icons next to the temp. Overall, it's a single person's fryer, it's quite small so you won't get much out of it. Can possibly fry for two people depending on the items. Either way, I learned to love it for it's oil filtering.

I have owned this fryer for a few years now and have been impressed with the performance. I worked as a chef for some years and while it cannot compare to a gas fired commercial fryer, I get raves for my fresh cut fries, fish and chips, onion rings, and plenty more. I like the automatic oil filtration feature even though it doesn't do quite a good a job as using a paper filter. One quibble I have is that a couple of ounces of oil are always left in the bottom, it doesn't fully drain. A word to the wise. While you can get great results with fried chicken, resist the temptation to make it until the oil is near end of life. Few things will spoil your oil faster. I like to make a big batch just before I change the oil and either freeze some of it or host a dinner party.
