Gets the Job Done
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Black and Deckers Easy Cut Can Opener EC500B-T Extra Tall and it worked fine. Being tall, you can fit a variety of sized cans under it. It takes up space on my cabinet, which I don’t love, but it gets the job done.

Not your mother’s can opener

In addition to just opening cans (and large ones at that!), it can sharpen you knives. It features some cool storage features, too. It has a handy spot to store a bottle opener and the cord tucks away FLAT for easy, compact storage! What an improvement on electric can openers of the past.

I’m a big fan of soups and so I’m constantly opening cans of vegetables, sauces, etc. The can opener is super easy to use and saves me time and energy, what more could you ask for?! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a very good can opener. It opened cans easily and cleanly, which are the most important elements of having an electric can opener. I liked that the cord can be hidden into the body, but I didn’t find the cord to be very long, and it didn’t easily wind back into the device. It was also pretty light, so it doesn’t feel like it sits very sturdy on the counter. It’s also quite loud. It comes with a bottle opener that sits in the top, which is a nice touch. I’ve definitely seen and owned better products from Black and Decker. This was a tad bit of a disappointment given the quality I’m used to with them. It is, however, perfect for my son’s first apartment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Straightforward to use. Package includes three parts; base, cutting assembly and bottle opener. Cutting assembly slides into the hole on the top left of base. You lift it open, pop your can in, press the assembly down and watch it do it's job. The little bottle opener is a nice add on also. Some slightly better packaging would be nice as the cutting assembly was only wrapped in plastic so I nearly cut myself grabbing it out the box. But overall it's simple and easy to use. Doesn't take up a whole lot of space. I can see myself using it more often.

The blade cuts very well and the wheels move the can at an appropriate speed to make it smoother than others when removing the lid. It’s not louder than any other mechanical can opener, but seems more heavy duty, plus it comes with a tool to help open cans without taking the whole lid off.

Great can opener with extras
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great can opener! I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now to get a good feel for it, and I’m impressed. It works on regular cans and tall cans, which is a plus. It cuts through cans with no hiccups. Another plus is the magnet. It actually hold the can lid without the annoying plop into the open can. Yay! It has an easy press lever to remove the lid, which is really nice. This can opener has a removable cutting assembly for easy cleaning, which I personally love. It makes cleaning the blade so much easier. As a matter of fact, the plastic and stainless steel parts makes cleaning the can opener a breeze. It also comes with two bonus features. The first is a bonus multi-tool. It opens bottle caps, as well as helps opening pop-tops. It stores right in the back of the can opener. The second is a built in knife sharpener. Both of these worked great! All in all, I think this is a great can opener. It works and I have had zero issues with it, plus the extras you get with it are nice. I would recommend it, if you are looking for a new one.

Quick and Easy Appliance to Open Cans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazingly easy to use! It took me about 5 seconds to figure it out, and once I did, it worked so smoothly! The magnetic head held the piece of the can that was cut out so dont have to dig it out later. Once the can was fully opened it automatically stopped, and I was even surprised that the can stayed on the opener without falling. The added tool is a nice touch too! The can opener is a nice black color so it fits nicely on the counter. Highly recommend!

Great can opener

I typically use a handheld opener, so I am not used to electric. I think I will be using this one from now on. It is quiet and does a great job opening the cans quickly. The blade easily pops off to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, out of the box, there is a detachable bottle cap opener. To plug the can opener in you have to pull the cord out of the bottom, which seemed like it could be retractable for storage, but there's no way to retract it, that's disappointing. This can opener seems like it's designed especially for large cans, which I don't open many of, but now I have it when I need it. There is a built in knife sharpener, which is cool. The issue I have with the can opener is how rough it opens. I attached a video, and it performed a little better than usual in the video, but that isn't typical. I'd say that if you open a lot of tall cans, this is great for you, but if you're like me and just open small cans most of the time, I'd keep looking. I will say, I didn't have any large cans to try, so I'm not entirely sure how it would perform in those conditions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really happy with the Black & Decker Easy Cut Can Opener overall. One of my favorite features is how easy it is to clean. The cutting assembly comes apart, so you can rinse it thoroughly instead of trying to wipe around awkward parts. That's a huge plus for me. It also does a great job of holding the can securely while it's opening. When you're finished, the built-in magnet lifts and holds the lid separately from the can, so it doesn't fall into your food. It's a simple feature, but it makes opening cans much cleaner and more convenient. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the knife sharpener on the back. The location feels a bit awkward, and I had trouble using it with some of my knives. It almost seems like it was designed with smaller knives in mind. I think it would be much more practical if Black & Decker considered moving the sharpener to the top rear of the unit, where it would be easier to access. Overall, it's a solid can opener that's easy to use and even easier to keep clean. Aside from the knife sharpener placement, I'd definitely recommend it.
