Two plus two is an easier concept using the abacus as a visual aid. It is also really good for teaching subtraction. This abacus also looks beautiful displayed in your child’s room or in any room. The abacus is well made, the colors are fresh and beautiful, the variety of colors on this match most any decor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I remember having one of these when I was a kid and playing with it for hours. I bought this for my niece was just learning to count. She loves to push the beads back-and-forth and counting along as she does it. This toy is very well constructed and is a solid quality. You definitely will not break it.

I love that it's made with warm, neutral, earthy tones. As a homeschool family this is perfect for us. It makes for an easy and fun way for the kids to practice their math. It’s the perfect teaching tool that makes learning fun! We love it!

So I don’t really know what I expected size-wise but it was a little bigger than expected. Nothing wrong with that though, just thought I’d mention that it does seem a little bigger than most abacuses I’ve seen. Honestly might even be better for those little fingers and ease of use. Anyway, bought this for my little girl and I will certainly add this to all my future children’s rooms. It’s so well-made that I’ve no doubt it will last for those years to come. So charming and cute. Lovely product. Love everything I’ve bought from Hearth & Hand thus far.

It’s a great way to introduce your tile to counting and organizing by color as well. I love the size of this product and how well it matches decor in any natural colored room.

It is the perfect tool to help learn how to count but then eventually as a traditional calculator. You can even use it if you’re comfortable calculating using this device. The colors are pretty and perfect for boys or girls. Love the look!
