Puzzle pieces weren’t cut very well. They don’t fit easily or well together. Separating them to play with was very difficult. The edges are now messed up.

Disappointed
The Melissa & Doug toys always seem like cute ideas but the quality just isn’t there! The perforation on one of the puzzles wasn’t cut deep enough and caused the thin film covering to tear apart within seconds of use. My 2yo still likes the toy which is the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

Great concept but disappointing Quality and design
It’s a great concept, associating the feelings with the numbers for toddlers learning. But, puzzle pieces are low quality doesn’t feel like Melissa Doug at all. They got chipped when I tried 1st time. They have messed up with the puzzle shapes, which makes it hard to match. Also, there are only eight pieces. disappointed.

I’m pleased that the puzzle is two sided and helps teach emotions but the quality leaves much to be desired. Some pieces fit too tightly together, requiring the strength of an adult to separate initially. The plywood and stickers are flaking off and showing wear having only been played with 2 or 3 times.

Good toy but manufacturing error
Absolutely love the toy for what it is. My daughter has managed to learn which emotions are which- BUT- I’m not sure if our product was cut wrong during the laser portion of manufacturing or what but some how the plastic portion started tearing off and my daughter had it in her mouth trying to eat the peeling portion by the end of the day

Great ! But cutting issue
This was perfect other than the fact that it was printed and cut incorrectly on mine, causing one of my pieces to completely rip when I tried unsticking them for my daughter. Other than that it was a great purchase !

Great learning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good project for small kids just learning. My nephew is almost 3 years old and doesn’t talk yet and I think this will help him learn how to display different emotions while also learning how to count and do numbers. It’s made with solid wood so the durability is good. It has a slide to open case to store all the puzzle pieces. It also comes with a mirror so your child can look at themselves and learn their own expressions. We love playing with it.

The illustrations are bright, engaging, and do a great job introducing beginner emotions in a simple, relatable way. It's a fun, thoughtful tool for helping young kids recognize and talk about their feelings. The only small issue is that the puzzle pieces don’t fit together as snugly as expected, but it doesn’t take away from the overall learning experience. Still a great buy and a wonderful addition to our playroom!
