Kids help Mateo rescue an innocent Dreamling with the LEGO DREAMZzz Mateo vs. Cyber Brain Mech (71495) building set for boys and girls 8 years old and up. When the mysterious Cyber Brain captures a helpless Dreamling, young dreamcrafters can spring into action, building a colorful capsule that transforms into either a towering Cyber Brain mech with a mega goo shooter cannon or a lightning-fast Cyber Brain scorpion mech. Z-Blob wraps around Mateo like a protective cape, giving our hero extra power for this action-packed challenge. A minifigure of Mateo the hero and the captured Dreamling figure stand ready to star in epic pretend play rescue missions across the cyber realm. The modular shooters featured in each of the two mech options can also connect with other building sets in the LEGO DREAMZzz 2025 collection (each set sold separately) for expanded storytelling possibilities. The bricks are high quality, the instructions are easy to follow, and the builds are both fun and rewarding. Whether you're a kid or an adult, LEGO offers creativity, challenge, and endless replay value. Some sets are pricey, but the experience is worth it. Great for building skills—and even better for imagination.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Building it was like any other set in the category of mecha. I only built the scorpion style but I really enjoyed building it. I think for people who enjoy the visual aesthetic that the tail could’ve had more support, it tends to drop against the rest of the set. The legs being all connected by ball joints were nice because it allows to adjust where the weight sits in the set itself. The minifigure was nice, I enjoyed resembling his weapon but I did feel it was a bit basic so I spruced it up with the duplicate pieces and some of my own. The cape since it’s thick rubber did tend to become an issue for the figure to stand up but after laying some weight and manually bending it, no problem anymore. I assembled my own personal background for the figure as I felt him alone was a bit too basic. Besides that it’s a very nice set!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son’s love Legos and this was so cool for them to build! They love that you can build multiple different designs with the same pieces. The colors used are so cool as well. There are also very unique pieces so that adds to the creativity later when they use those pieces to free build. Of course Lego brand is durable and good quality. Very cool Lego set for any adults and kids old enough to play with legos.

He said some of his favorite things about this set are that you can make 2 different concepts. The mini-figures that came with this set are adorable. You really can not go wrong with Legos, they are the ultimate tiny plastic bricks for children. This set had lots of really fun pieces that I have not seen in any other sets like the brain and the mind-controlled minifig. We really loved this set!
