I am 62 and have a lot of dark spots and sun damage as well as oily acne prone sensitive skin. I am using this daily layered after B5+amino acids on my face, chest, and arms, followed by my regular oil free mosturizer. My dark spots are slowly lightening (no miracle) and my skin texture is improving. I am also wearing hats and covering up from the sun to avoid any new dark spots forming. I now stock up on this 5% niacinamide by The Ordinary as I don't want to run out.

I don’t know if my eyes are deceiving me or its really working. I have used this product for 5 days now on an intimate area for dark pigmentation and it looks so much better and lighter.

I think this was a gift with another purchase, but im sold on this. My face is completely clear and luminous. Im a new convert now! Maybe ill try the 10% next time.

This product is a wonder-worker! I am 52 years old and have (had) dark spots and melasma. This niacinamide product is affordable, lightweight, gentle, and has made my aging skin look so much brighter and more even-toned. I like that I can wear this under makeup and it absorbs completely into my skin. I will continue to purchase this as long as it is made!

Ive tried the 10% niacinamide serum it was too harsh for me so i returned it and tried this one. I am amazed, i have oily combination. Its worth trying and if it doesnt work for you. You can use it on your body. I bought 2 more back ups of this the moment i tried it 😍

I have only been using this for a week and have already noticed improvement in my skin. My skin feels smooth and hydrated. I also notice less redness which is great. Very happy with this purchase.

I prefer a creamier texture. This was too “runny” for me. I stopped using it so I can’t speak to its effectiveness.

I just bought this and used it the same night and it blew my mind away with how my face looked in the morning. I bought this specifically for my face with plans to use my moisturizer that also contains Niacinamide which is why I like that it is only 5%. I'm not sure how this would work on the body, but on the face it's amazing. It's light enough to use with thicker creams, but also thick enough to make the skin feel hydrated. I love that this is only $14 for over 3 oz. of product and at least for me, immediately effective. 10/10 would recommend! Side note… this may "sting" a little if you aren't used to Niacinamide, but it does subside within 30 seconds or less. This is a lower potentcy, so it is great for sensitive skin types!

While I wish the formulation for the Niacinamide was 10% like the Niacinamide 10% and Zinc 1%, I still really like this product. I used to use the N 10% + Zinc 1% for years. As I've gotten older, Zinc seems to break me out more. So I switched to this product. The Niacinamide I still wish was higher, but my sebum is staying in check and pores aren't becoming as clogged as before.

I never write reviews but I felt I had to with this one. This makes my face GLOW. I tried the niacinamide + zinc drooper bottle in the past. The zinc broke me out in horrible cystic acne, so I was thrilled to see The Ordinary made a niacinamide formula without the zinc. My face has never looked this clear and bright whle using this product. I absolute prefer the pump bottle over the dropper bottle too. (I wish they were all in pump bottles) And I LOVE how much comes in this bottle. It lasts a while. Please don't ever stop making this!!

My skin loves niacinamide, so this is a no brainer for me to include. No irritation, and it adds just a little moisture. My skin is normal to dry acne prone and I've been using for four months on my face and body without complaints.

Wow, I am so glad I randomly bought this. It did everything and more than Vitamin C. I have sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin.
