I really wanted to love this rug

This rug was gorgeous upon arrival, but after just one week of use it’s falling apart. I’ve never seen a rug literally come apart at the seams like this.

Unfinished Product, Excessive Fiber (A LOT)

Upon initial opening, I was pretty happy, although the color is much more purple than brown. I also noticed the design was not as defined as the product photo. More on that later. Once I vaccumed the rug 3 times, 4 times, filling the canister each time, I got down on my hands an knees and saw that there was a TON of excess fiber from the manufacturing process still on and in the rug. I grabbed my lint/pet hair removal tool of choice and got to work, removing as much fiber (lint?) from it as possible. To be clear, I was not removing fibers that were ATTACHED to the rug. Everything that was coming off was a result of the process of cutting the design into the rug loops and was not attached to the piece. It held up well to this process. 3 hours later I had filled a five gallon bucket with fiber. The rug looked much cleaner and nicer, more like the product photo. I feel I was sent an incomplete product and would not have been able to keep it if I didn't have the ability to finish the job.

Beautiful, but stinky!

This rug is beautiful and clearly high quality. Made to last! However, none of the other reviews mentioned how incredibly STINKY this rug is! Absolutely overwhelming chemical smell. Had to remove it from my daughters room after a few hours but now her rooms smells even without the rug. Definitely worrisome from a safety perspective. Will be reaching out to Rugs USA.

Nice rug

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with the rug. I was just surprised that the color was a little off than the one in the picture. I bought the rust color, it’s beautiful but is slightly (very slightly) warm pink tone, rather than brownish tone. Just keep that in mind. I vacuumed it twice and it shed a lot but usually wool rugs do that. I bought padding for underneath it separately and I’m happy with that because it makes it softer and more plush to walk on. It lays nicely and it’s a beautiful rug.

Purple with raw edge

Love the Rust rug!

Looks nice but won't stop shedding

Pet UNfriendly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I misjudged the softness of this rug; it is super tough and uncomfortable to sit on. The material and looped threads make it a nightmare for cat and pet owners. I've only had this rug for a month, and it looks 5 years old with countless pulls already. The material and texture also make the rug difficult, nearly impossible, to vacuum and remove pet fur. Also, the color is much more purple than mauve in my space. It may be the cool-toned flooring and less natural light pulling out the cooler tones of this rug, but regardless, it is more purple-y than I wanted.

Love it but it sheds A LOT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this rug, it’s visually a great piece, but it sheds terribly, all over our clothes (when we sit on the rug with our children) and clogs our vacuum because there is so much shedding. Unfortunately i wouldn’t recommend it due to this issue. It has seemed to have slowed after about 6 weeks but it is still kind of a mess to sit on.

Great price, good quality wool, ends unfinished

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice, thick wool rug. Color is accurate to online photo. The price was amazing. The only reason I can’t do 5 stars is that it’s clearly cut from a larger piece and there is some white backing visible on the edge where it was cut. It’s for a bedroom but if it was for a living room it would bother me to have a visibly unfinished edge. This may be specific to the size (4x6).

Nice Rug, But the Color is Not Accurate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my rug last week and the material/design are even better in person. It is nice to sit on and I really love the large square pattern. However, it is not a dark brown rug - it is a purple rug. I've sat with in in my room at all times of the day, with all the different forms of light on, and it is not a rich dark chocolate brown at all. I'm disappointed with the color quite a bit, but pleased with the quality.
