Disney Descendants Mal Isle of the Lost Anniversary Doll with Movie-Inspired Outfit & Accessory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mal Descendants Anniversary fashion doll has been a huge hut with both of my daughters. To quote them, “We love the doll because of her cool costume and how much she looks like the actual character!” From a parent’s perspective, the doll is great and comes with a very neat costume. The doll itself seems more flexible than others with actual joints making them very fun during playtime. I wish the doll came with a few more “useable” accessories however the doll maintains my child’s interest!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Daughter is a big fan of the Disney Descendants Movies and absolutely loves her new Mal Doll. The doll looks almost spot on the the movie character and has the replica signature outfit to boot! My daughter loves that she comes with the Spell Book from the Isle of the Lost movie. I really appreciated how easy the doll was to get out of the packaging too!

Her outfit is colorful with her stylish jacket, pants, gloves, and the boots to complete the look. She comes with her spell book which adds to the fun for imaginative play. It even opens up. Such a fun detail. Her hair is a vibrant purple as well. She's a favorite in our house.

The clothing looks great but is very hard to get on or off, which is apparently my daughter's favorite thing at the moment to do, so this can be frustrating. Also her hair is very stiff and not really nice to touch. Overall she enjoys playing with it. I do not enjoy having to fix the clothing every time though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Disney Descendant Mal Barbie doll is a musy have for Descendant fans. My youngest has really been getting into the Descendant movies and this is a great addition to her collection. Mal's features and coloring are so realistic!

The attention to detail is incredible she looks just like the character from the movies, Her face is beautifully sculpted, and the outfit is full of texture and style. The top has a leathery-like material, giving it that edgy, villain-chic vibe, while the pants are made from a stretchy cloth material, which makes the whole outfit look even more realistic and high quality. She comes with Mal’s iconic spell book, and yes the book actually opens, which my daughter thought was the coolest thing ever lolz kids really like the smallest of details. The doll is 11 inches tall and can stand and pose on her own without needing support, a bit sturdy articulation right out of the box but she’s really fun to pose and perfect for storytelling, play, or display. My daughter absolutely loved the doll she’s been taking it everywhere, even to playdates It’s become one of her favorite toys. Whether you’re shopping for a child, a Descendants superfan, or even a collector, this Mal doll is a magical must-have. Mattel truly brought Mal to life with this one.

They also liked that she came with a spell book. It can be hard to find Descendants toys on the market currently so they were very excited to receive this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very pretty down but The leg joints are very stiff and the hair has entirely too much glue holding it in place there is no possibility of my daughter brushing her hair out because it is so solid. My daughter still really liked her.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is a huge Descendants fan, so she was excited to receive this Anniversary Edition Mal doll to add to her growing collection. Right out of the box, the doll made a great impression. The outfit is super detailed and true to Mal’s edgy, iconic style. It comes with cool accessories like boots, gloves, and her spell book, and the jacket is especially impressive. It has a faux leather look and feel, and it's even removable to reveal another shirt underneath, which adds a nice extra touch of detail. One thing to note is that the doll doesn’t come with a ton of accessories aside from the spell book, but I actually count that as a plus, because there is fewer tiny things to keep track of or lose. The only real downside is that the face sculpt doesn’t quite resemble Mal as much as I expected. If it weren’t for the signature outfit, I probably wouldn’t recognize her right away. That said, my daughter doesn’t seem to mind at all and is absolutely in love with it. Overall, it’s a great collector’s item and a fun gift for any Descendants fan. Definitely recommend for young fans or collectors alike!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This doll is really cute! I managed to open her & get a few pics before she got destroyed because my granddaughter wasn't home, lol! She loves undressing her dolls & swapping clothes & shoes as soon as she gets them. She loves the Descendants & was so excited when she saw this doll! Like I said above, the doll is adorable with sweet features like big eyes & pretty pink lips. Her hair is stiff with gel, which I get because I assure you even with the gel my granddaughter managed to turn her hair wild anyway. Her outfit is very detailed with a faux zipper on the front of the jacket, scallops at the top of the sleeves, a faux leather collar, along with other printed on designs. The boots & gloves are pretty cool too. The boots especially, with bat wings that flare out on the sides. Both my granddaughter & I love that her outfit is separate pieces, because did I mention that she loves to redress her dolls? She doesn't come with too many accessories, but the little plastic spell book case that is included is sturdy & does snap open & closed. The articulation on this doll is also appreciated as my granddaughter enjoys posing her dolls & placing them in different scenarios, whether it's flying, dancing, flipping around or whatever else is in her imagination. This doll easily bends at the knees for sitting, so no stiff joints on this girly. The rest of her joints like at the elbow & wrist also move easily but hold their pose well. She also stands really well with her boots on. I can tell this is my granddaughters favorite right now because I always get the castoffs she's no longer into when she forces me to play dolls with her & this doll is never among them, lol!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mal is a favorite character of my daughter so she was delighted to receive this doll. The clothes are well made, individual pieces, and feature a lot of detail. She was an instant hit in our household. She also has moveable limbs/joints which my daughter was very excited to find out. A few notes: we did find the gloves very hard to put on, and impossible for my 7 year old to do it on her own. Additionally the hair is very crunchy and not easily styled if you have a budding hair stylist. She is also different proportions than a traditional Barbie, so don't expect to share clothes. Finally, the mirror that comes with her fell out right away, but a little glue fixed the problem. All that aside, my daughter loves her and has played with her repeatedly since getting Mal.

The clothes are well tailored and simply fun to play with other descendant characters. She appreciates the mirror accessory as it reflects the characters personality.
