very bright light for my fence post
I installed this on a fence post rather than a wall, and the process wasn't difficult. The instructions were clear, so I didn't have any major issues. The light is bright, which is perfect for my backyard. It claims to detect motion from 40 feet, though for me, it is closer to 30 feet. It has worked reliably for 3 months. It's a solid piece of gear and I'm happy with how it's holding up outside. it's a bit steep at $40 when I bought it, but for the name brand reliable I suppose it's worth it.

don't know what the other reviews issue is they work great they are motion lights not a flood light for long term running the battery would be huge or it would need to be hard wired for all night constant on less false alerts with these over regular lights thanks to the better sensor its really bright and has good life when it is set off from the rare high winds that will false alarm it

Subpar but maybe it was jusy this one.
Easy to install and lasted about 23 months and then stopped working. Not sure why but it was covered in spider webs when we got it. Maybe it was a return from target. Too expensive and a name brand for it to be so subpar.

It was super easy to install—no hardwiring or stress, just mounted it and let the sun do the work. The motion detection is spot on and doesn’t miss a thing, which makes me feel way more secure at night. It’s also not overly sensitive, so it doesn’t go off for every passing bug. The light is bright—enough to clearly illuminate my whole driveway and part of the yard without being blinding. I love that it charges during the day and lasts all night, even after cloudy days. The design is sleek and not bulky, so it blends in well with the outside of the house. Overall, it’s a great investment for both security and peace of mind. Definitely recommend!

I chose to have it put on our shed. I like that it picks up motion and turns on when it should. I also like that the brightness is adjustable. There are no issues in rain.

I had it out in a storm and it didn’t seem impaired in any way. Easy to hang and adjust. Final place I want to hang it will be at our chicken coop so we can go out in the dark to lock it up without a flashlight!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a cheap brand of motion sensor light before that didn't last long, so now we have this GE Motion Security Floodlight brand that is very sturdy and already included a solar power so I can install it everywhere that doesnt need near the outlet. Install this at the top of my garage for a month now, and it's very bright, especially this summer, that it's very hot and sunny in the morning. Very recommended!

We live at the end of the street so although we have a nice light within our front gate, it was nice to add more light for outside the gate. I like that no hardwire was needed so we could add a light away from the house.

The motion sensors trigger within 40 feet and its adjustable. The heads swivel to direct light where needed. Love that it was super simple to install and looks great. Bright, efficient, functional
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m impressed with this floodlight from GE. It is a virtually no maintenance product. Installation was probably the hardest part of it all, but now I don’t have to do anything. It came with a solar panel and the light itself as well as hardware to install it. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I was able to easily install it on my back deck. I like that it has settings to adjust the motion detection area and duration of light. I was also impressed with the multiple light modes-there are 4 settings. My absolute favorite part though, is that all the power it gets is from solar energy. None of the electricity I use in my home goes to the floodlight. It’s extremely efficient. The solar panel absorbs sunlight all day and the light works well the whole night. Obviously it’s not on all night, just with motion so it conserves energy quite well. I was also surprised with how bright the light actually is. My whole yard lights up and I can adjust the angle of the lights to wherever I want. The motion detector is also very sensitive and picks up motion well. We did have a storm earlier this week and it made it through that without any problems so hopefully will be durable. Overall, I’ve been quite pleased with the functionality and features of this floodlight and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a bright, efficient and energy conserving light for their outdoor space.
