Birds Choice Modern Farmhouse Metal Double Suet Feeder

Very easy to use and able to have more birds feeding at once

We have exceedingly clever squirrels in Minnesota. They have demolished and raided ever suet holder I've tried except this one and one other also from Bird's Choice.

Woodpeckers love it. Good quality product. Nice black finish

This is a really nice simple metal feeder. I like the size of it since you can get seed cakes or suet into it easily. I've had everything from Sparrows and Finches to Cardinals and Starlings checking it out.

I really like this suet feeder. It is sturdy and easy to find a place for this double suet cake feeder.

Double cake feeder with roof to protect from rain/snow. I have not had any birds yet but I am leaving it out.

Received the Modern Farmhouse Metal Double Suet Feeder along with 2 Trailblazin' Seed Cakes to fill the feeder. Construction and design of the metal suet feeder is very nice and durable and really like the lowkey embossed bird branding on the roof. The birds choice, as well as other brand seed cakes, fit well in this feeder and alot of different birds visit our feeder including Starlings, Woodpeckers, Wrens and Nuthatches. Over all very nice feeder!

Simple, cute, easy to fill suet feeder. My birds love it! Seems very durable and looks stylish hanging in the river birch.

I had the opportunity to try this feeder and lept at it. It's really well made and looks great.

All my woodpeckers are enjoying this feeder. Nice quality. Opens easily but not too easy for the squirrels.

When I first received the feeder one of the bottom corners was sharp, but nothing that a small metal file couldn’t fix. I used the file to smooth the corner and now it’s fine. It’s really cute and sturdy! It took quite awhile for the birds to visit it. So far, I have only seen a dark eyed junco feeding at it, and they visit it often.

I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first. It seemed the birds could not reach the suet inserts easily as the suets were still there a week later! Can you tell this is my first suet? I love that they have lasted this long and the birds really love them! The feeder is super easy to assemble and hang!

Very sturdy and well made. I appreciate the convenience of two slots for suet cake so that I don't have to fill it as often, especially in these cold months.

This feeder is working out great for me. The most important feature to me is that the roof is very secure, snugly fit to the suet cages with the handle, and yet still easy to remove. I have had another metal bird feeder that had a roof that moved freely and this was incredibly noisy which was problematic since I put my feeders out early in the morning. This feeder is quiet and has a simple, attractive design. The cages are wide enough for the standard square seed cakes I purchase and the cakes easily slide into place. The cages allow any rain to fail through, and the roof helps to limit rain. It is very easy to remove the roof for thorough cleaning when needed. Smooth surfaces with no sharp edges are appreciated. The secure fit of the roof prevents squirrels from taking off with seed cakes.

I had a Bewick’s Wren at the suet feeder the first day it was put up. Chickadees and Yellow-rumps followed soon after. It is well made, easy to fill and clean!

What a wonderful editiion to our backyard! The Blue Jays and Chickadees love it! We haven't been able to get a Blue Jay Photo yet but we have seen them. Attached is a photo of the Chickadee eating on the feeder. We love watching the birds fly to the feeder.

Pros: — attractive design and good construction — easy to remove roof and insert suet blocks — small birds (nuthatches, wrens, etc) used the feeder Cons: — larger woodpeckers did not use - perhaps due to roof making it harder to perch and feed — wider chambers required more distance to reach suet blocks from sides (compared to a typical suet feeder) so smaller birds often fed from top/bottom edges.
