The Doux Block Party - Stay Ready Sculpting Wax - 4oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like using this sculpting wax for slick backs and my edges. It’s thick but smooths very well. I do wish it had a bit more hold. Scent isn’t strong, which I like! A little definitely goes a long way!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Styling wax smells great and the texture is very creamy instead of gel like which is different. Only issue is this wouldn’t give you a gel like hold especially on 4c hair, maybe for someone with 4a this might work well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sculpting wax is a cool product. At first sight the texture seems creamy but when you actually touch it it’s a sticky gel like consistency. Good for ponytails!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the doux product is very basic and just ok. The consistency is watery for “sculpting wax” that’s supposed to prevent hair from reverting to curls or waves. I do like the scent and it does wash out easily.

Also getting it out of my hair isn’t a problem which I was nervous about, so overall I’m happy with the product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this on my natural curly hair and saw a good difference! The hold isn’t that strong so I couldn’t recommend for a slick back or to hold edges, but I feel like it made the top of my curls look more tame, shiny, and defined without taking away volume! It also smells really good and the packaging is cute! The formula feels like it can be kind of buildable, however, not much product comes in the container so it would be hard to make it last. I actually used about 1/3 of the container just putting some of the product at the top of my head one time. A positive is that my hair didn’t moved and pretty much stayed as initially styled the entire night! Overall, I’ve been hearing a lot about this brand and was so excited to try it as someone with natural curly hair, however I’m a bit disappointed in the overall outcome. I wouldn’t recommend but I do see myself trying more of their other products, especially since this one smells so so good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this when I’m putting my hair in a neat ponytail. It helps it stay slick and keeps flyaways down. I will be trying next when I want to wear curls to help them maintain. It washes out fine when I wash my hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised at the texture and consistency. It’s not your traditional gel/wax. It’s more of a light cream. and carries a light hold. I’m interested to see if it will hold up in the summer. I used it to create my bun and it held pretty good.

I use The Doux's Mousse Def and I absolutely love it. I recently tried the Miracle Knots style and I used this product for my parts. I'm glad I did! I Love it! It holds well, it didn't turn my hair white, and I Love the consistency of the product. Can’t wait to try it with other styles! I have a mixed hair pattern (4a, 4b, 4c all together) for reference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product to make frizz free curls and style my sleek hairstyle. The only thing is to use it as a styling cream for sleek looks you have to pair it with gel. Personally it did not work as a edge control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I added the sculpting wax in helping to create a slick back updo. It was soft and creamy but to my surprise left no flaky residue. It held my 4B edges in place for the entire day which I am very pleased about.

I have a difficult time of “slacking back my hair“ completely due to the texture of my hair. So for the product to be a creamy base with a light scent it worked well enough. I think this is best for people who have a softer texture of hair versus my course texture. I had no issues with washing the product out it’s very lightweight. It didn’t create any buildup.. I generally like the Doux products and they work well I think with a softer texture

I thought maybe i got sent the wrong product because this is the consistency of conditioner. Theres no hold at all. The only thing i can say is it smells amazing. I even searched reviews online to see if i got sent the wrong product but no its not really working for anyone
