The item looks and works perfect… ensures no mistake of getting cut on can edge. The bad… shipping…. No shipping box, as is and box came fairly crushed… can’t believe can opener still work and no damage…. Will not order from again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice can opener! We like that it opens all around the lid, not just the inside. It makes it more of a clean cut versus something that might leave you looking like a Halloween decoration. I like the fact that you can stuff the cord back inside of it instead of wrapping it around and it getting caught on everything while you're trying to drag it back out from in the cabinets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this later then I expected, but it's a great can opener. It is quit different from the norm n I really like it. It cuts below the rim with a smooth cut, no paper shreds or metal slivers like you get with some openers. It's a really nice can opener n I would highly recommend this product. I believe you would really like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This one works! There is a little bit of a learning curve to make sure the can is properly positioned. Once that is accomplished press the "OPEN" button, wait for the can to rotate completely, press the "RELEASE/RESET" button, while holding the can, and remove the now cleanly opened can. Remove the can lid and note no sharp edges. Easier than a pull top. The opener is a bit noisier than previous can openers I have had but worth it. Opened several cans easily with the exception of a small DelMonte tomato paste can. The top has a small indentation below the lid that proved troublesome. No problem, just open the can from the bottom. No indentation.

The best can opener!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I have had the same Hamilton Beach can opener since we got married in 2009. (Best wedding present!) It’s definitely the oldest appliance in our kitchen, but it’s still going strong! THIS can opener has to be their current model of the one we’ve used and loved for 16 years. I like some of the updates, like the “open” button that grabs and holds the can while it cuts the top off. I do have to remind myself to take hold of the can before I hit the “release” button though (or the can will fall to the counter). It’s much lighter weight than its predecessor. I feel like the cable “holder” section on the back of the can opener could be better (I actually prefer the way it is on our 2009 version). Overall, great can opener. I never have to worry about anyone cutting themselves because it always gives a smooth edge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Hamilton Beach Smooth Touch Electric Can Opener for a few months now, and it’s quickly become one of those kitchen gadgets I didn’t realize I needed. It opens cans effortlessly with just one touch, and I really like that it cuts along the side of the lid instead of the top — no sharp edges and no mess. It looks sleek on the counter too, with a simple, modern design that feels a bit more premium than most can openers. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that it’s a little bulkier than expected, so it takes up some counter space. It also doesn’t magnetically lift the lid every time, which means I occasionally have to pry it off. Other than that, it’s quiet, smooth, and does exactly what it promises. If you’re tired of struggling with manual can openers or flimsy electric ones, this is definitely worth the investment.

After plugging in, you just put your can right under the opener and press the big button in the top and hold it down until your can is open then press release. It opens it so you have no sharp edges to worry about! I loved that!! I was able to do it with one hand! I’m still getting used to it not having something come down to secure the can in place lol I’m not a huge fan of having to hold the button down until it’s open. I wish you could press it once and it would stay on. That’s really the only improvement i would make. I really like the colors. They match my kitchen!

The knife sharpener on the lower back of the device is pretty helpful keeping our knives sharp. There’s also a bottle opener conveniently on the front. I hadn't ever really thought about it but once I got this one I was surprised by how much I used it. It's super fast and easy to use. Haven't found a can yet that it has struggled with. It's fairly quiet and is small enough that you can store it on the counter or put it into a cabinet until you need it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Smooth Touch Electric Can Opener is awesome. The way it cuts open the lid on the side of the can insted of from the top down is nice. Makes it easy to get a utensil in without having to worry about a sharp edge. I like the way that it attaches, it pinches the can holding it in place. You just hold button down til its tight and it grabs it with ease. It will stay attached till you press the release button. There is also a big hole in the back for the cord storage which makes it easy to get the cord in and out while storing on the counter. I would deffently recomend it to people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely satisfied with this electric can opener. It opens the lid of the can from the top, which is great and pulls it straight up. My old one used to drop the lid in the can once it was done. I like the sleekness of the product and it also saves a counter space. The older models were thick and bulky Another thing I like is the release button. It makes it very easy and to release the can. I am not sure of the longevity yet, the plastic is a bit light weight. Overall it is a great product and I would recommend getting it.

It is simple to operate and is extremely strong since it holds the weight of the can until you are ready to release it. We open cans on a daily basis, so to have this plugged in sitting on the counter is definitely easier than dealing with the old-school handheld manual one. It even comes with an extra bonus knife sharpener on the back of the unit that is very handy.

It’s compact and has an impressive design. It is stainless steal and easy to clean, it’s perfect for any kitchen. The can opener is a bit loud when using and moves slowly but does an excellent jog opening the cans.
