Overrated and overpriced!
The chocolate chips in the cookie are amazing but the actual cookie itself was bland. I was excited to purchase these cookies and when I finally got them and baked them I was highly disappointed .

Wonderful chocolate chip cookie!!
I loved these chocolate chip cookies! I love the richness of the chocolate and I have no complaints with the taste or texture. I took off a star because for the price they should be a larger cookie. I would buy again if they are on sale.

I've thought I would LOVE it!
I love Ghirardelli chocolate chips! It is fabulous to have them in pre-made dough that could be quickly baked instead of having to make them from scratch. I liked that the cookies had a mild sweetness and of course, the chocolate chips were superb. However, overall the cookies were bland. I appreciated the company's effort to create a cookie with a thin layer of crispiness on the outside and a chewy center, but none of that helped the overall bland flavor. It frustrated me to know that the cookie had so many good components but still didn't hit the mark.

Best Prepackaged Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Sure, these are not as good as homemade or many bakeries, but for convenience and ease, they are the best out there. I appreciated that the chocolate chips actually tasted like the bagged Ghirardelli chocolate chips, which is great quality. These are much better quality than Nestlé Tollhouse.

Excellent texture but the dough was a large mass instead of individual cookies which I assume was not intentional. Looked like the dough was not kept cold enough and melted or was smashed. Made me a little nervous to still use it but I tried it anyway. The texture of the cookies is awesome. Very flakey with crunchy outside and gooey inside. Way better than Pillsbury. I think a pinch of salt on top would make them even better. Excellent classic cookie though I probably wouldn’t buy again unless on sale I think the price is steep for 12 cookies.

Not As Good As Toll House or Sweet Martha.
The taste was good but not as good as Sweet Martha’s (freezer bag) or Toll House (fridge pack, which I think is even better than Sweet Martha’s). The texture however, was a bit mealy. The taste was not as rich as Toll House. I would recommend it if those two other options were not available. So all in all, this really comes down to one’s personal taste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this product free from Influesnter in exchange for my honest review. While I’m no stranger to the Ghirardelli brand of chocolates this is my first time trying out this cookie mix. Very quick inconvenient what I like about it is that they’re individually sized and portion so it’s just a matter of pulling apart, putting it on a bacon tray, then bake then eat 😁 The whole process takes less than 30 minutes to do then you have soft chewy cookies and has a great balance of chocolate and it as well, which is one of my guilty pleasures lol
