Q: What's the difference between this model 4196T and model 4196K

submitted by beeniegirl - 3 months ago
  • A: Does it have a light?

submitted byBee - 2 months ago
  • A: I actually looked this up today and the only difference is the color (red or blue) and who sells the product (target, Walmart, Amazon etc.). Everything about is the same regarding functionality. Hope this helps!

    submitted byMegamom810 - 2 months ago
  • A: The 4196T and 4196K are essentially the same PowerClean DualBrush Cordless Stick Vacuum in terms of performance and features. The difference is typically just a retailer or color/kit variation (for example, different included accessories or a different finish), not how the vacuum functions. Both will deliver the same cleaning power and overall experience.

Q: Does this come with a wall mount and charger?

submitted by Mom2twoboys - 3 months ago
  • A: Hi there! The PowerClean DualBrush Cordless Stick Vacuum (4196T) does come with a wall mount that also supports charging. This lets you store the vacuum neatly while keeping it powered up and ready to use.

Q: What is the wattage on this vac?

submitted by DMH - 3 months ago
  • A: Hi there! We don’t list a specific wattage for this model. Since it’s cordless, it’s designed and rated based on its battery system and overall performance, rather than watts like a corded vacuum. What we can confirm is that it uses a lithium‑ion battery designed to deliver consistent suction for everyday cleaning across floors and carpets.

  • A: The Target-exclusive model 4196T is the same vacuum platform as the 4196K, which BISSELL markets as the PowerClean DualBrush 280W. The different suffixes (4196T, 4196K, 4196B, etc.) typically indicate

Q: What is the difference between model 4196k & 4355

submitted by Darlene - 5 days ago
  • A: Hi Darlene. Model 4196K and model 4355 are both versions of the PowerClean® DualBrush Cordless Stick Vacuum and share the same core cleaning technology, runtime, and performance features. The primary difference is the model designation, which is typically used for different retail channels, packaging, or included accessory configurations.

Q: Is the battery model for the Bissell 4196T stick vacuum the same as the 4026 model? I bought an extra battery for the 4026 model and want to be able to use it for the 4196T if possible

submitted by CountryLiving34 - 6 days ago
  • A: Thanks for your question. The battery used in the PowerClean® DualBrush 4196T is different from the battery used in model 4026. The 4196T uses a 2.5Ah battery assembly (part #1644207), while the 4026 uses a 2.0Ah battery assembly (part #1644206), so we cannot recommend using the 4026 battery in the 4196T.

Q: Does this vacumn have a stand alone feature? For example if moving a chair to vacuum behind or do you have to lay it down like other models I've checked out

submitted by Susan - 7 days ago
  • A: Hi Susan, yes. The PowerClean® DualBrush Cordless Stick Vacuum 4196T is designed to be freestanding, so it can stand upright on its own when you need to move furniture, pick up items, or pause cleaning. You do not need to lay it down between uses like some other stick vacuums.

submitted by Janet Hill - 10 days ago
  • A: Hi Janet, the 4355 and 4196T are both BISSELL PowerClean DualBrush Cordless Stick Vacuums and share the same core cleaning performance, DualBrush Technology, and cordless design. In most cases, the different model numbers indicate retailer-specific versions or accessory/package variations rather than differences in suction or cleaning capability.

Depends on what your needs are

My Shark bit the dust, and I got this thinking I wanted a cordless stick vacuum. I was drawn to it because of the dual beater bars and price. Suction was good, but the battery life was short, and took around 2-3 hours to charge. I looked into possibly buying another battery and it was $70. I have wood floors with area rugs, 4 kiddos, a dog and cat. Does not vacuum well on thinner lightweight rugs (like the machine washable ones) and on “thicker” it drains the battery very fast (15-20 min). But it is excellent on hard floors, with a battery life of around 40-50 min. It is lightweight, but feels durable. I ended up exchanging it for the Bissel Pet Hair Eraser DualBrush and love it. So yes it is a good vacuum, just didn’t work well for my household and needs with the short battery life.

    Finally, a great cordless

For context, we've been using this vac almost every day for 1 month. It was $199 on 6/26/26. Definitely performs better on our area rugs, runners, and door mats than a rather expensive commercial corded vac. You can hear it rev up and see that it removed a build up of cat hair (yuck). The battery lasts plenty long for us, but we have a smaller house and don't usually vacuum the entire house at once. Really love that it stands up. Very convenient to just remove the battery for charging, though the provided wall mount looks very nice. Also, appreciate the foot release to quickly switch to hand-held vacuuming. Noticed it seemed kind of heavy at first, but it's very well balanced and the power is the tradeoff. May be too heavy for some. Easy to release and dump the dirt cup. It's so nice not to find my hair wrapped around the brush. Only issue we've encountered is some mini pretzels got stuck higher up in the tube at the top of the brush head (there is an angle). We could hear that it seemed to be less powerful but didn't immediately find anything caught in the usual places. I purchased this because husband preferred using our light use cordless, which was never intended to fully clean a house. This vac has all the power we need and all the convenience we want.

    Great Vacuum!

I actually enjoy this vacuum very much! The lights in the front are surprisingly bright, especially in the dark. I tend to be very fast so after maybe two times going over the same spot everything is picked up. I love that it’s super easy to clean and the attachments are great too! The convenience of removing it 3 different lengths is awesome; the handle, medium for hard to reach spot, and the brushes for the floors. My only complaint is the battery. I’ve been lucky to have it vacuum my entire home (~1250 sq ft) just before it dies but I’ve noticed it’s slowly decreasing with time. I do have 4 pets (2 dogs/2 cats) so it could be I’m wearing it out fast especially when vacuuming loose litter my cats tend to leave around lol Either way I’m really satisfied with the product all together.

I’ve had this for a week and already had to declog the thing twice. It’s not even large things that I’m declogging it’s just dirt.
1 reply from Bissell Team team - 2 months ago
We’re sorry to hear you’re dealing with frequent clogs so soon, Ken—that’s definitely frustrating. This can happen if debris builds around the brush roll or inlet, so try regularly clearing the brush area and emptying the dirt tank before it gets full to keep airflow strong. If it continues, please visit support.bissell.com or call 1-800-237-7691 so we can help get your machine performing its best.

Made for homes with fur babies

We have a labrador and two cats in our house. A few thoughts/concerns I had before purchasing: size of dirt tank, noise of 280W motor, ease of switching attachments, ability to reach under furniture, and battery life. The dirt tank is small but the way the motor pushes debris into the tank compresses it to make it fit more than you think. It's much quieter than any vacuum I've ever had. It's very easy to switch between attachments and the crevice tool is my favorite (it can fit on the end of the extender too). It's clearance for reaching under furniture is about 4-5 inches (I didn't measure, this is a guess) and I can reach the wall when vacuuming under the couch. The way it switches on its own between eco and turbo extends battery life (took me about 20-30 mins to clean a set of stairs and the floors, crevices, and trim of 4 rooms with some battery to spare). It's best on hardwood and low carpet but still works well on regular carpet (especially using the crevice tool around the trim). The FurFinder light is a great feature that helps me see every bit of fur and dirt on the floor as I clean. So happy with this purchase.

Great for pets but empty often

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love a good stick vacuum especially for pets because I have three double coated dogs so to say my house is constantly under a layer of fur would be an understatement. I love the light on this vacuum because it’s so easy to see all the dirt and fur my fluffy babies sprinkle all over my house. The suction power on the vacuum also easily picked up any and all fur balls that were floating around without getting tangled in the brushes. I also loved the attachments, specifically the upholstery attachment because my dogs are constantly on the couch. Unlike most stick vacuums this one also stands up on its own without needing to be propped against something which is a huge plus. I will say that when creating a pet vacuum the canister should be larger due to the user having to suction up more debris than the average household but this canister is quite small especially since it has a max fill line. I have a 2,500 sq ft home and found myself having to empty it 5+ times when vacuuming the entire house which is something I do daily. The other down side is the vacuum head is quite bulky and doesn’t fit nicely under furniture where fur tends to hide and collect. Overall, the vacuum is great but if they made the canister bigger and the vacuum head less bulky it would be phenomenal and has the potential to surpass the big name stick vacuums.

Perfect for Daily Messes and Toy Filled Homes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum does a really nice job with everyday messes. It picked up everything from crumbs to larger debris without any issues, and I didn't find myself having to go over the same spot multiple times. The AutoAdapt technology is super helpful, especially if you have a house with both hard floors and carpet like we do. It automatically adjusts as you move between surfaces, which is convenient, although it did take me a little bit to get used to at first. I also really like the self-standing design. It seems like a small feature at first, but it's a game-changer in a busy household. Not having to lean the vacuum against something every time I stop to move a chair or pick up one of the millions of toys our little boys leave around—and then having said vacuum inevitably crash to the floor—is amazing. There was definitely less cursing under my breath without the dang vacuum constantly falling over! I also recently used this vacuum in our bedrooms because we're dealing with some allergy symptoms right now, so I was paying extra attention to how much dust and pet dander it picked up. It definitely removed a good amount, but I did go over the carpet afterward with another stick vacuum just to compare, and there was still a pretty substantial amount left behind. For everyday cleaning and maintenance, I'd honestly give this vacuum a 10/10. For deep cleaning, especially if you're dealing with allergies or really trying to pull everything out of your carpets, I'd probably say more like a 7.5/10. Overall, I think it's a great everyday vacuum and a good value for what it does.

    Powerful Lightweight and Mom Approved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell PowerClean DualBrush Reach is an amazing vacuum! It truly does it all. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and compact enough to get into tight spaces while still having plenty of power to pick up every mess. I love how flexible it is—it easily reaches under my couch and other furniture without me having to move everything around. I have mostly hardwood floors with a few rugs, plus two toddlers and a dog, so there are always crumbs, dirt, pet hair, and other messes to clean up. I vacuum almost every day, and this vacuum consistently picks up everything with ease. One of my favorite features is the AutoAdapt technology, which automatically increases suction power when it detects a tougher mess. I don't have to stop and change settings—it does the work for me. The built-in lights are another feature I didn't realize I'd love so much until I used them. They make it easy to spot dust, pet hair, and debris that would otherwise be missed. The FurFinder attachment is another standout feature. It's fantastic for cleaning furniture and does an excellent job removing pet hair from couches and chairs, making it perfect for pet owners. The only downside I've found is that the hose attachment is a little short. I had a difficult time reaching cobwebs in the corners of my ceilings without having to stretch or use a step stool. A longer hose would make above-floor cleaning even more convenient. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the Bissell PowerClean DualBrush Reach. It has made keeping up with daily messes much easier, especially in a busy home with young kids and a dog. I would absolutely recommend this vacuum a million times over!

A great vacuum for everyday and deep cleaning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a great vacuum cleaner, in the last few weeks we’ve used it for everyday spills and also for a deep clean before we went on vacation & it’s great for both & everything in between! It sucks up all the messes my 2 small kids & 1 small dog can make, including picking up full bits of kibble & larger pieces of trash. I even tested it by first vacuuming our bedroom with our old vacuum & then going over it again with this Bissell & it filled the canister half full of dirt that the other vacuum left behind! The “autoadapt” function makes it easy to go from our hardwood floors to carpets without having to switch any functions, it does it all on its own! And the swivel that the head has is the best of all the vacuums I have ever used or owned, it turns super smoothly & is able to reach into corners & other hard to reach places without awkward maneuvers. And the attachments help you clean other tight spaces & other things like couches, rugs, curtains, baseboards, & so on. It comes with a mount that includes all the screws & other bits to install it, you’ll just need to use your own tools. The mount not only holds all the attachments as well, it also charges the battery while it’s being stored! The battery power seems great, it’s never run out on me, although that might be partly because it stays charged as long as you keep it on its mount! So far I can’t think of any complaints, this vacuum does everything it claims to do & would be a great investment if you too have a messy family!

    Lightweight but Surprisingly Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really impressed with the Bissell PowerClean DualBrush Reach. It is incredibly lightweight and easy to maneuver, but it still has the power to handle everyday messes really well. It works great on both my hard floors and my rugs, which makes it easy to use throughout the house without switching vacuums. One of my biggest tests was my dog’s kibble. For some reason, my dog only likes to eat on our rug, and most of my lighter stick vacuums struggle to pick up all the crumbs, food dust, and bigger kibble pieces. This vacuum got all of it. It picked up the tiny residue left behind and handled the larger pieces without me having to go over the same spot again and again. The AutoAdapt technology was one of my favorite features. I loved that it seemed to kick in extra power right when I needed it, especially on the rug where dirt and crumbs tend to settle deeper. It made the vacuum feel smart and efficient, without me having to stop and change settings constantly. I also really appreciated the self-standing design. It may sound like a small thing, but it makes such a difference when you need to pause for a second, move something out of the way, or take a break without leaning the vacuum against a wall or laying it on the floor. Overall, I think this vacuum is a great value. It feels much more powerful than other lightweight stick vacs I have tried, and it is easy enough to grab for quick daily cleanups. It is light, convenient, effective, and surprisingly strong for its size. I would definitely recommend it, especially for homes with pets, rugs, kids, or everyday crumbs and messes.

    Bissel PowerClean Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is a dream. It does everything that my very expensive name brand vacuum does but it is wireless, and has several other features that set it apart. I love the fact that the stick Bissel PowerClean DualBrush Reach has lights on the front of it, which allows me to visualize extra dirt and pet hair that I would normally miss. It is powerful and picks up small messes from my kids or dog, but can also go through and clean my entire house. The battery life is long and charging is a breeze. My favorite feature is that this can move from stick vacuum to hose to pet cleanup extension in a matter of seconds. I can literally clean everything with one tool - and without lugging out my large heavy vacuum. I am a clean freak and find myself reaching for it over my other cleaning tools 10 times out of 10. It is so convenient and easily my new go to vacuum.

Great for pet owners and families with kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell PowerClean Dual Brush is a great addition for a home with pets and kids! It comes with attachments for crevices and pet hair, an extension cord to reach difficult places, and the ability to convert the stand up vacuum for a hand held. It fits into that much needed area between a minimalist stick cordless vacuum and a traditional corded stand up vacuum, offering similar suction power to a traditional vacuum while still being cordless. We noticed immediately that the dual brush pulled more dust and hair in our area rugs than our stick vacuum. Our rugs, normally a bit matted with age, even felt a little fluffier. It was easy to use on and off rugs and wood flooring to pick up food crumbs and cat litter. The AutoAdapt was a nice feature to have so I can vacuum without having to think about adjust settings. However, the feature isn’t always consistent in adjusting properly. The bright light helped show all the hidden crumbs and debris on the ground. The vacuum does require emptying often because the tank is so small. It also has many pieces to keep track off. I love that it came with the ability to convert into a handheld. It makes getting fur off upholstery and to pick up crumbs in the couch so much easier. Something to keep in mind is that the handheld is on the larger side and required two hands for me to hold so I reserve it for specific chores instead of an every day quick handheld vacuum. While not in use, it stands up steadily unlike other cordless stick vacuums. I think it’s a pretty good value for what it includes and the suction power.

Surprisingly great at picking up pet hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really impressed with the Bissell PowerClean DualBrush Reach. It has strong suction and handled both my hardwood floors and area rugs with ease. Even though my rugs looked clean, I was surprised by how much gray dog hair it picked up after just one pass. The built-in light was one of my favorite features because it helped me spot pet hair that I couldn’t see in normal daylight. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to maneuver, making it comfortable to use throughout my home. I also appreciate that it comes with upholstery attachments, which make it more versatile for cleaning furniture and other surfaces. The AutoAdapt technology worked seamlessly, increasing power when moving onto my area rugs without me having to adjust any settings. Overall, I think this vacuum offers great value. It performs as well as or better than other stick vacuums I’ve used, especially when it comes to picking up pet hair, while still being lightweight and easy to use. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile cordless stick vacuum.
