A: The IZ381H handles low and medium pile carpets and area rugs well. On thicker shag, start in Carpet mode. If the rug begins to lift, avoid using Boost and make short passes, the manual notes to take care on area rugs and to avoid Boost if rugs lift.

A: The battery can be found by removing the handheld vacuum from the wand by pressing the Wand Release button and pulling up. Then you can plug the charger into the charging port on the handheld vacuum and plug the Li-Ion charger into a wall outlet. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach a full charge.

A: Filters may need to be replaced periodically even with proper cleaning. We recommend cleaning them if the vacuum stops picking up dirt, if airflow is restricted, or if you notice decreased or no suction. For optimal performance, clean filters regularly. Between cleanings, lightly tap filters over a trash receptacle to remove dust and debris as needed. You can rinse the pre-motor foam and felt filters every month, or as required, and allow the filters to air-dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.

The lite shows dust & dirt you can't see
I can't say enough about how great this vacuum is. I really like how it goes flat to vacuum under the bed & furniture but the most amazing thing is the light! I was vacuuming one evening and went into a dark closet - i was shocked as to how much dust was in there. You can't see it by day light but the black light or whatever it is shows it prominently. Needless to say I will vacuum in the dark from now on. Super happy, easy clean out and the battery lasted my entire extensive cleaning time. Highly recommend this one!

First vacuum that works great on washable rugs!
My house has always been full of big shedding dogs. I had purchased 2 rainbow vacuums in the past 20 years that were priced just as much as a Honda civic, they work well on carpets but not on bare floors. I have purchased many other good brand vacuums that never lasted for more than one year with one catching on fire while in use. I switched to shark about 7 years ago & just had to replace my cordless shark to this cordless shark. The old one was still working but my mom broke a handle on it so it was time. I switched to all washable rugs & this vacuum works the best on those rugs, it does not suck them in or scrunch them up, it adjusts to the rugs texture & bare floors. All others including the old shark were a pain to vacuum the washable rugs. This is by far the best shark I owned. Also battery lasts longer & I bought a spare battery so I can do the entire house at once.

Better on carpet than hard floor.
This vacuum works great on carpet but when I use it on my hard floors it picks up most hair and dirt but I always have to go over with my other vacuum that has 2 rollers to actually everything. Suction is okay when you pull the trigger but I am not a fan of the autosense instead of just selecting a suction level. I only bought this because my other one gets clogged way too fast with all the dog hair that accumulates in just one day and broke the front roller within a month of having it. This one is the closest to my old broken one so I had high hopes and Shark is just not what it uses to be I guess. Overall it's functional but for the price, it's not great. Also, not a fan of it having to fold in half versus taking off the top to dump it then clip it on the stick for storage.

Long Lasting Battery
I had previously purchased a battery operated vacuum but the battery charge ran out before I finished vacuuming our 2,00 0 square foot home so I sent it back. The Shark PowerPro completely vacuums the whole house with power left over. Not only that, but the battery disconnects from the vacuum so that if necessary a replacement battery could be connected while the first battery is charging.

Where Has This Vacuum Been All My Life?
Where has this been all my life? I've used Shark upright vacuums for years that are,of course, wonderful. But the big vacuums are heavy, cumbersome, and, of course, tied to an electrical cord that limits movement. This cordless vacuum is a fraction of the weight and moves like a dream. Plus the hinged handle lets me get under tables and bookcases that are way, way to big to move. I'll keep my full fledged Shark vacuums for heavy duty cleaning but the PowerPro Flex is now my go-to cleaning choice.

A decent vacuum with some drawbacks
Pros; lightweight, picks up dust, dirt and debris decently, charges easily. The flex handle for under furniture is easy and works well. Cons; the handle is uncomfortable. The angle which I hold the vacuum makes the weight rest on my hand so I keep trying to readjust my grip. It’s like it was designed for a taller person with a larger hand. I’m 5’6” and have pretty average to large hands. The other con is emptying and putting the canister back on after emptying it. It is difficult to empty- either you need to remove it manually with your hand or there is dust all over the place and you need to vacuum all around the trash. Putting the canister back on should be much easier, I keep thinking there is a certain trick that makes it easy and quick so I keep trying to figure that out, but I have yet to discover it. I’ve probably emptied the canister 3 dozen times at this point and I am starting to dread it because it is not intuitive at all. Pro; the flex feature to vacuum under furniture is the BEST! I am reviewing the shark powerpro reveal plus

Not worth the cost
This vacuum is severely underpowered and WAY overpriced (even with the $100 off sale). I wanted to replace a corded vacuum used on hardwood and this one is severely underpowered!

Not sure its a keeper.
I am on the fence about this vacuum and may return it. It does a great job on floors but so-so on my carpet. The worst thing is, after 3 hours of charging it only lasted 20 minutes!!

Picks up pretty good
I bought a few weeks ago it works fine but the battery doesn't last long enough to vacuum more than 1 room at a time and it's top heavy doesn't quite get close enough to the.base board still have use the wand or sweep along the wall.

Compared to previous Shark
I purchased this to replace a Shark Ion Duo Flex cordless. The Power Pro Flex is much lighter and not as solid- but it was also cheaper. It has great battery life. The blue light is incredible for showiing dust on hardwood floors that I wouldn't see. What I miss from the Ion Duo Flex- The carrying handle when folded, the rotating roller brush attachment for the removable hand vac. Will keep hand vac from ION Duo- much more functional. The hand vac from the Power Pro- is more like a car vac than a true vacuum. I didn´t want the more expensive Sharks because they appear to have features that self adjust and lessen the battery life. It was the multi-flex wand that broke on my Ion Duo and is no longer made by Shark. Again for the money this Pro Flex is an excellent vacuum- especially for hard floors

Was hopeful, but left disappointed
I've had this vacuum for a little over a week now. When I got this, I was excited about the feature where you could vacuum under surfaces! After getting this vacuum and trying it out, I've come to find that the suction is not as strong as it is advertises. I get a lot of kickback of dirt. I have a pet with short fine hair and it doesn't seem to pick up the hair that well, and it is very loud. The plus side is, it's very light weight, easy to snap together, and it's cordless. I am left very disappointed and dissatisfied, overall. Not worth the price!!!!!

Working very well!
I'm enjoying using this lightweight vacuum; its hack the weight of my Shark plug in vacuum. This makes it very maneuverable and the battery is lasting well enough to vacuum my entire house before charging. My only criticism is that in view of the fact that the unit is a bit top heavy due to the location of the battery, it would be nice if the handle was softer and less slippery.
