A: The dust cup will automatically empty once docked. To manual empty the dust cup, detach the handheld vacuum from the wand by pressing the wand release button. Position the dust cup over a trash receptacle, then press the dust cup release button on the left side on the handheld vacuum.. Tap gently to empty contents. Remove any debris or hair from the cone-shaped screen inside the dust cup. Wipe the interior of the dust cup clean if needed. Close the dust cup door, pressing it until it clicks into place.

A: The filters for this vacuum are washable by rinsing them with water. Once down, allow them to air-dry completely for up to 48 hours before reinstalling to prevent liquid from being drawn into electric parts.

We've had for two weeks now and so far very happy. Lightweight is an added bonus. Our son has a different brand of stick vacuum and the difference is amazing. The fact that it empties into a bin after each use is another added bonus. We have mostly hardwood floors with a few area rugs and it automatically powers up for the rugs and back down for the floor. It picks up cat litter better than expected, but it's not perfect...but I'm still giving it 5 stars.

I’ve only had this vacuum for a couple days but I love it! I really like the feature that removes the dust when you return it to the dock each time. It’s lightweight and gets into pesky corners easily. Picks up hair, dust, sand and goes from hardwoods to rugs effortlessly!

I got this as a Christmas gift and I am in love already! I hate sweeping our floor and this makes it such a breeze to pick up any crumbs on the floor in the kitchen and around our house. I appreciate the suction changes from hard floor to carpet. It’s perfect to pick up the gunk and not fling it around. The auto empty feature is something I didn’t know I would appreciate so much. It’s nice only having to empty the big chamber every few weeks instead of after every vacuum.

I bought this just before leaving for the holidays. Yesterday I tried it for the first time. Seems to vacuum good. The only thing I question is on auto vacuuming on carpet it kept switching from magenta light to blue light. Still need to use it more so I know what I am talking about. The auto emptying is great.

Made it easy to clean my car out. Once you put the vacuum back on the stand, it self emptys into a compartment on the stand.

Kind of early in my ownership to give such a review, but I'm highly impressed. This Shark vacuum was easy to assemble and has been a pleasure to use, thus far. So much lighter than my other Shark cordless stick vacuum, which I've had for quiet awhile. Great suction and I really love the clean and empty feature. No more having to reach into the dust cup to pull out the last fragments of debris left after empting. I have no doubt that this Shark stick vacuum will give me the same service as all of the other Shark vacuums I've owned in the past and ones I still own today.

I've been wanting a cordless vac for years. My boyfriend did more research than I did & landed on this one for me for Christmas. My apt is roughly 1000sqft and this vac does a beautiful job in every room and switches flawlessly between diff modes for carpet/kitchen floor. I get a kick out of the self clean feature (but I'm a little nerdy so it doesn't tale much to amuse me) and the dust cup & battery life is perfect for my size home. I should add that I do not have any animals in the home so I don't have experience with that, but I would recommend! The fact that its versatile & I can take this out to the car is going to be another great use of it.

The shark is just as effective from what I can tell. The noise level is similar. But I will say I don’t find the attachments as easily interchangeable as the Dyson. This also doesn’t come with as many attachments as the Dyson does. Overall, not bad for the price.
Good for cars and any vacuuming.

I always have a hard time finding a vacuum that works on both our carpets and the hard floor but this checks all the boxes! It’s easy to carry in between floors and catches everything from cat litter and hair to crumbs and plant droppings. The auto dump feature can be a little loud so I try to do it when my cat is upstairs but other than that it’s lovely. I’m also a big can of the dust bucket and not having to run to the trash after every cleaning. This vacuum is perfect for my every day needs!

It has hypervelocity accelerated suction power that adjusts to all floor types and deep cleans carpets. The self cleaning brush roll is great so one doesn’t have to yank strands of hair off the roller. The self emptying feature after every use is another feature that avoids another nasty task. It is light weight and battery will last anywhere between 30-40 mins. The vacuum comes with a crevice tool as well as a pet multi brush tool. The white & peacock blue color will look great in today’s light & bright decor. Give this cordless a try. It will not disappoint!

It is a bit louder than my Dyson although that personally doesn’t bother me super surprised and happy with the shark performance so far.

The light weight and comfort, along with the cordless function, makes it very easy to vacuum my apartment. I have long hair which is always laying around, so I was surprised at how well the vacuum suctions and picks it up from my rugs. The auto empty option makes my life so much easier as I’m allergic to dust. The vacuum comes with two attachments which allow me to clean each crevice and edge. You can even take it out to your car and clean it. I definitely recommend!
