Q: Just purchased today. It was in two sealed boxes. There was no CREVICE TOOL! There was a picture of one included in the instructions. Am I missing something??

    Very disappointing

    When I received my Dyson V8 Absolute Akkusauger I was delighted by the design, technical sophistication, and general practicability of the product. My joy was very short-lived. Exactly a month after ordering the vac, the off-on button stopped working and an entirely new casing (Gehäuse) has to be installed. In five days the new casing should arrive and I will try to install it according to the directions on YouTube. At my ripe age of 83 I am a bit disturbed that it is expected from me to fix by myself a month-old product. That experience surely cured me from thinking that with Dyson money buys quality.

    Do not buy this. Buyer beware. I was so excited to buy this Dyson I got it during holidays season when it was half price. It worked great for a while then it just stopped working. It’s been cared for and cleaned and lasted only one year. I was past my Target timeframe to return but they attempted to contact Dyson on my behalf. It’s been a couple weeks and a couple contacts to Target support team and I’m told all I can do is wait. So at this point I’m in desperate need of a vacuum and have decided I’m buying a new homeka off of Tictoc-she had a light and lasted me way longer. So friends save your money this will break.

    Awesome appliance!

    I bought this to replace an older V8 vacuum that I somehow managed to break. It is lightweight, easily maneuverable, and does a great job picking up dirt and debris.

    It does what it says on the box.

    I find the run time sufficient for my needs. It's so light weight that I didn't think there was much suction but the dust container says differently. I've found all the tools useful. The only drawback I can find is not being able.to carry all the tools I need with me. As I use it I will get used to knowing what tools work best where. Because of the way the vacuume is stored in the dock. It makes it easy to use daily. Maneuverability is very good.

    Sucks well but tools not interchangeable

    I have 3 of these now. Some are quite old but still function. They are light and easy to use and suck well. However, my main criticism is that the tools and wands keep changing shape and can't be used with my other Dyson models. This is highly frustrating as one of my machines has lost its clip on the wand and sometimes the foot drops off. If it were transferable I could still use the motor and battery when the other one goes flat. Also the new one comes only with one tool and all of the other ones I have don't fit. What a waste and not green friendly at all.

    Glad i bought this I find it nice and light quick and easy to use, The waste drum is easy to empty and shut just wish it had a separate button for turning off and on you have to hold button to use hoover. This hoover is better than the cabled ball hoover which i find very heavy.

    Great Performance, but Battery Life Could Be Better Review: I’ve been very happy with my Dyson V8 overall. It has excellent suction, is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and does a great job picking up dust and pet hair. The filtration is also very good, and it’s convenient for everyday cleaning. My only complaint is the battery life. The runtime is quite short, so I have to recharge it frequently before I can finish cleaning my home. If the battery lasted longer, it would easily be a 5-star vacuum. Overall, it’s a great cordless vacuum with strong performance, but I wish the runtime were better.

    Suits my needs.

    I am very happy with this purchase. I bought the v8 to replace a v6 I had purchased approx 10 years ago. The v 6 still works ok, but I couldn’t buy new heads for it. I now use it in the garage to keep the floor tidy.

    Questionable suction

    I owned a V6 model for a long time. I decided to replace it because I did not want to replace yet another battery. The V6 was not holding in the debris so at the end of the vacuuming I would hold it up to put it away and a fair amount of debris and cat litter would fall out. This happened whether the vacuum canister was full or not . The same thing is happening with this V8. I have to get a dustpan and brush to sweep up the extra debris. That is assuming that the battery is out of power by the time I finish. If it isn't out of power then I have to put the vacuum on high and vacuum the fallen debris and hope it stays in the vacuum. Finally the thing I miss about the V6 is the light. That was the most useful feature. If I had known the V8 had no light I probably would have chosen a different model.
