I bought this to replace my old one which died after 25 + years. I feel that this one is quieter, but heavier than the older one. I'm happy with the amount of suction with each of the attachments. It's easier to open for removing bunny fur ... than the old one. I love that it stays charged much longer than the old one. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it.

I had the previous version for 11 years and found the latest version as a replacement heavier and at max suction the battery used up quickly were the older version seemed the same suction but lasted longer which surprised me after 11 years with older version Summary ok machine , battery, suction ok but surprised older machine better than new?

I bought this vacuum to replace my old DC56. I am happy with the unit and the attachments but the only way I feel you really get the suction is on Max Mode. Not really that much different than the older model just still works by the way and is over 10 years old.

Overall, I'm pleased with the vacuum. It cleans reasonably well, getting most dirt on the first pass. Dispensing the waste was a trick to learn, but I was able to figure it out easily enough. My only complaint is with the design of the trigger guard to operate the vacuum. The guard gets in the way while I'm using the vacuum, making the guard dig into my finger...that hurts!

bought a month ago to replace previous Dyson whose battery had died. slightly heavier model but with better suction and ease of use. the attachments work well, but it is a shame that attachments from previous model don't fit. the emptying system is potentially better but my wife says she is frightened of damaging the machine as it, comparatively, requires more force.
