Great suction but heavy
After using a couple of times overall I’m pleased. It’s heavier than I expected and was frustrating to assemble, the picture instructions were difficult to follow. It does a great job of getting deep into carpet and I have no issue maneuvering it. Also clean hard floor excellently. If you need a lightweight vacuum that is extremely easy to move this isn’t a good fit. If you’re okay with some bulk it’ll work!

Dyson animal
It has great suction but difficult to push on carpet. We had our lard Dyson for just over 7 years. I wished they still made the first model it was a champ. I’m not sure if the wife wants to keep this one. I guess you can have to much power on a vacuum or it needs wheels on the front of the head.

Video is incorrect video for product false advertisment
This vacuum has no light. The video that target has is the wrong product. I thought I was going to get the pet attachment and the stair attachment. I am returning this to target due to false advertisement. You can’t show a video of another style with this. Also you have to contact Dyson to get a different head attachment because you can’t push the thing on a low pile area rug. Shame on you target for misrepresenting Dyson.

comes apart
i wanted to love this vacuum, i have a dyson stick that is amazing. but like others, the front part kept coming off the ball while i was vacuuming. super annoying. after it happened about 15 times in one session i decided i was done and returned it. i should have read the reviews first, i just assumed as a dyson it would be good.

Overpriced terrible design for yse of attachments
I loathe this vacuum. I purchased it to replace a previous model which I loved and got a ton of use out of for almost 20 yrs (with some minor repairs). My main problem with this newer model is the use of attachments. It is the most un-ergonomic design. The soft brush attachment can only be used if connected via multiple rigid poles. I’m 5’2” and it is always a challenge having to pull the super tight hose all the way out, just to have enough give to attempt to maneuver the overly long pole attachment. The hose is still so tight (after having this vacuum for a few yrs) that it has pulled the pole attachment back out of my hands which caused the plastic attachment to smack me in the mouth, splitting my lip today. I’ve had it with this overly priced poorly designed machine. It vacuums well but the attachment design is so poor I would never recommend this vacuum to anyone. Very disappointed in Dyson. Quality appears to be much less these days compared to their older models.

Vacuum head wont stay on. Needs a recall.
I’ve had three of these and the brush head will not stay attached. When you vacuum on carpet the lever catches carpet and pops the brush head off. Instead of fixing the problem Dyson keeps sending me replacement vacuums. I should have read the reviews of people having the same issue before purchasing. The vacuum head is also very narrow and makes you have to vacuum longer. Worst Dyson product I’ve every owned,

Stay far away if you have carpet or rugs
The vacuum is great on hard floors and very powerful . It’s too powerful to use on carpet or rugs . The vacuum gets stuck, and is a complete waste of money. Even on the lightest settings it is far too powerful.

Higher expectations for this product than what I got
Pros: light, compact, extension choices, pick up ok from rug and floring, light noise. Cons: Arrived with one mission part - hose will not stay intact. All parts are very fragle and breakable. Price could be less. I was looking more for high reach extansion.

Do not buy if you have a thick Persian style rug
I've had this machine for several months and it works much better than the previous Dyson Animal machines. The only problem is no matter how high you adjust the brushes, the brush head falls off and is very hard to put back on. Don't buy if you have a thick rug!

Almost as good as my ancient DC07
After almost 11 months of usage, I am very pleased with the Animal Complete's performance. Just like its predecessor, a 2007 DC07 that I repaired myself every few years until it died in January 2023, the Animal is able to handle the dirt, hay, etc, that our boots bring in from daily farm work, as well as the copious amounts of hair from a Golden Retriever, a silky Calico, and my waist-length hair. I vacuum from one end of the house to the other, dumping the bin twice, reverse course, vacuum in the opposite direction and dump the bin one more time. It revived the texture of my old carpet. Pros: -Suction is outstanding. -Hair never tangles on the brush roller -Many useful attachments -Can recline to vacuum under most furniture -Ideal for vacuuming medium pile carpet or vinyl. -Great maneuverability for zipping around corners -So easy to clean brush roller housing when something gets lodged - Long cord Cons: -Feels a bit too delicate when compared to my DC07 -Placing the power-button next to the roll brush button causes them to hook onto each other occasionally, making it difficult to turn either on or off. (Was easier on the old unit with the brush engagement on the vacuum head.) -Like other reviewers note, the vinyl/tile setting is unusable. If a floor is even slightly out of level, the vacuum sucks to the flooring and can only be moved by turning off the unit. -Returning hose to its cradle can be tricky at times; not as smooth as the DC07 I use the Animal Complete 1-2 times a week in my 950 sq ft house and highly recommend the model to others. I tried numerous brands before Dyson came into existence, but the DC07 and the Animal are the only vacuums able to conquer everything our farm can throw at our carpet. I will remain a Dyson devotee until they discontinue corded uprights.

I love this vacuum. I read the reviews before I purchased, which almost deterred me. The suction is better than the previous model and it is a little heavier, which made it a little more work to maneuver but a fair trade to get the cat hair, dander and dust out of my carpets.
