A: Heavily fragranced. I placed it in BUT turned it OFF and my asthma and allergies got out of control. Still releases a smell. I removed the whole thing and still smells when vacuuming. I am returning it

A: The odor dial cover needs to be installed for the vacuum to function properly. If you do not wish to use the odor neutralizer technology system, please follow the below steps: Remove the odor dial from the nozzle. Flip up the handle and rotate the dial clockwise until the two teal arrows are aligned. Pull the handle to lift the dial out of the nozzle. Remove the odor cartridge by rotating the cartridge counterclockwise in the dial housing and pull out the cartridge. Install the dial cover back into the nozzle without the cartridge. Align the teal arrow on the dial cover with the teal arrow on the nozzle, then reinsert the dial cover into the nozzle. To lock, rotate the cover counterclockwise until it clicks into place. Dispose of cartridge by dropping it in the trash.

Awesome suction
I bought this Shark several months ago and love it. I am a repeat Shark product user at my home and a business I owned a few years ago. I have a cat and this is great on cleaning the hair that gets lost into the carpet. Although I don't see me needing a new Shark anytime soon I would rebuy this product if a need arose.

Quality Vacuum
I bought one a few weeks ago. I used it to make sure it was what I needed. So I purchased another one. This vacuum is fantastic! Pick up is excellent forward and backwards. Stands on its own. Big bonus there. Hair wrap is great. Top quality! Very pleased with the quality of the entire vacuum. Sturdy, engineered to perfection.

Omg love love love this vacuum! It’s my 3rd shark as I keep upgrading to a newer model ever few years. The family doesn’t care as they get my old ones but back to the review on this one. The long cord is absolutely amazing! I use to have to unplug my other shark to just get my stairs done cause of where the plugs are in my home. No need for that now. The suction is incredible and love how it does it both ways instead of just one way. If you are questioning if you should get this vacuum let me just say this YOU SHOULD!

Shark Sucks (dirt of course!)
I bought this about four weeks ago. I have had my eye on it for quite some time and finally decided to make the purchase. Not cheap, but worth every penny. What I love most about it is that it vacuums both forward and backwards, therefore, leaving my carpet very clean. It is lightweight and though the canister doesn’t hold that much it doesn’t bother me at all. I have two Maine coon cats and it cleans all the cat for with no problems at all. I love all shark products and never had an issue with any of them. I decided if I was going to purchase that I might as well go ahead and purchase the shark Hydro vac. What a lifesaver! I highly recommend this vacuum. What I’d really love to know for future products is how to get on the list to receive items to try and leave a review but for now I’ll continue to buy the shark products.

Powerful, thorough, and lightweight
I’ve only had this a few weeks but so far so good. The auto floor sense feature is helpful and accurate and it’s proven powerful enough to tackle any job. I love that it’s compact and lightweight and easily sits upright and wheels from room to room. The head is small enough and low enough to the floor that it fits under most furniture. The lights are a helpful addition too. I only wish it had a flexible extension hose attachment with sweeper head to get under harder to reach furniture pieces. Excellent replacement for a bulky and elbow straining Dyson ball sweeper.

The wired suction power is very strong. My house has carpets, and they are very clean after cleaning, and there is no odor. It is very good.The wired one can work all the time, which is great. It won’t run out of power after just one use.

Great Vacuum
I have long haired cats, so I need to keep up with fluffy fur and litter scatter. I have a mix of tile and carpet. I was using a Dyson v15. It was doing ok, but it just was not picking up cat litter, I had to hold down the power button and overall I was disappointed in how it picked up dirt. I purchased the Shark and ran it after I used the Dyson, to say I was amazed, is an understatement. First, this machine packs a punch, it practically pulls itself. The amount of dirt I pulled out of the carpet was incredible, especially since I had just vacuumed. I like the light in the front and the filters. I do not find emptying the bin to be a big deal. I do wish the cord was a bit more pliable. If anyone is on the fence, give this a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Powerful convenience
This compact vacuum packs a powerful punch! The suction is strong enough to easily pick up pet hair (we have three indoor dogs who shed), and so strong that my area rugs will lift up while vacuuming. Some reviewers have mentioned the canister is small, but I am able to vacuum the entire house and only empty the canister once when finished. The cord is long enough that I don’t have to unplug several times which is nice! I especially like the lights, as it is easy to see what is on the floors even in low light conditions. The vacuum requires minimal storage space as well. I have previously owned Dyson vacuums, but I find this Shark product to have superior suction power, and I prefer the corded option so I am able to clean the entire home without worry of a battery dying before the job is done. Highly recommend this product!

Challenging to use for people with arthritis hands
We bought this vacuum about a month ago and were excited to receive it. The vacuum had a powerful pickup, was very good at cleaning the edges, didn't scatter dirt on the floor. The performance is really great. The only problem was that this vacuum was advertised as light weight, but with the motor at the top of the handle, it made the vacuum heavy and difficult to handle. Also the air vents from the motor blew hot air on your face. For people with arthritis in their hands this vacuum is challenging to handle. I hope Shark will eventually come out with a lightweight vacuum for people with arthritis in their hands.

Excellent Vacuum.
I'm a shark fan and this by far is the best vacuum yet. I was vacuuming my area rugs and it literally sucked it up. Suction is strong and you will not be disappointed. I wish there was a way to smell the odor neutralizing scent a bit more but I get hints of it.

Happy with new vacuum
I bought this to replace an aging Vertex that I loved but it wasn’t picking up things as well. So far, this vacuum is excellent. It has good suction on hardwood and carpet and it doesn’t seem quite as noisy as my last one. The dust cup is a little more difficult to empty, but that cone that collects hair is awesome. Personally I love a corded vacuum, so this is perfect for me, and my home is mostly hardwood and it is doing a great job.

Disappointed
The dirt cup is way too small. My last Shark vacuum it was larger. Also the floor piece with the beater bars is smaller than the last stick vacuum I purchased from Shark. Everything seems to be shrinking these days. I may want to return this new vacuum because it is a pain to have to keep emptying the dirt cup.

I really love this vacuum
I bought this vacuum two weeks ago and I’ve vacuumed almost every day since. I love it so much, i can’t stop vacuuming. I used to vacuum a lot, but this vacuum finds so much more dust. I don’t even know where it’s finding it! My life is dramatically improved, and I’m not kidding.
