I read the great reviews about this vaccine, only to experience the complete opposite. This vaccine overheats everytime I use it and shuts off halfway through me using it. It barely picks up my dogs hair from my hardwood floors, it gets stuck and clumps up. It also will pick up crumbs and as soon as you pick up the vacuum and move it they all fall back on the floor. I bought this to replace my Shark from 2014, The new shark has better suction ,but the dirt container is smaller and the power cord is a couple of feet shorter! Also I can not vacuum the dog beds with this as it seems to shut down from jamming the roller on the pillow like dog bed but overall I am happy with this and it does do a better job

After I had a problem with my old Shark Rocket vacuum, I was sent the UltraLight Pet Vac. What a huge improvement. Now I know the old vac was not picking up, the amount of dirt and dust I was able to get out my carpet was incredible.

Absolutely love this vacuum cleaner!!! I have 2 beautiful little fur baby kitties that shed everywhere and this is amazing at keeping my house clean!!! It’s easy to use, easy to empty and clean, and easy to take apart to add attachments! I would highly recommend it!!

i’m a devoted fan of shark vaccuums, but this is by far the worst vaccuum (of any brand) i’ve ever had the misfortune of using. it had insanely powerful suction the first 1-2 times i used it, and then basically none at all. i have thoroughly cleaned all components, and will empty the canister constantly but nothing really helps. i can actually see dust falling back out of the vaccuum as i clean. there seem to be critical flaws in the design that can’t be overcome. fortunately, the product has a 5 year warranty so i’m really hoping to get a credit towards another product. for now, i’m using my shark hand vac to clean my hard floors, and letting my carpet remain a mess.

but it is a great powerful tool. Heavy duty. Really got the dust off the vinyl floor and all the overstuffed furniture. A little bit hard to maneuver. Works on non shag area rugs. Having the dirt cup is so much better than bags. Didn't really get the scent thing to work but don't need it.

Worked great but less than a year later the motor went bad. The switch between mode 1 and 2 doesn't do anything and it's extremely loud and hot (you'll need earplugs to use it). It has security screws so you can't take it apart easily to replace the motor.

I received my new Shark Ninja 2 weeks ago. Love the flexibility it provides and ease of use.

I am pleased with my new vacuum cleaner. It picks up the pet hair as stated in the advertisement. There seems to be a lot of suction power. I do find that it is a lot noisier than I had expected, and it feels heavier than the 9 pounds that it stated. But all in all, I am very pleased.

EDIT: I had been pushing the ON button completely with my thumb and it wouldn't stay on. My hubby, thru experimenting with the ON button, found that if he pushed the top of the button, the machine would come on but not stay on. If he pushed the bottom of the button, it clicked and stayed on. It's more of a toggle-type button. So yeah, a stupid mistake but one that was not mentioned in any Shark materials that came with the machine or that I researched on Shark's website. That being said, the suction is as expected from Shark - very strong. I am now giving it 4 stars because (1) it doesn't stand upright unless you remove the liftoff and hang it on the bottom of the vac; (2) the dirt cup is quite small and requires frequent emptying; and (3) it's hard to push on thick carpet. I think I will still love it, but I ask Shark to review their instructional materials so operators understand that just pushing the ON button won't keep the vac on. I just received the HZ700 UltraLight Pet Pro PowerFins stick vacuum at 3:30 pm. I got it all assembled and tried turning it on. The power button won't stay on unless I hold it down while using the vacuum. I've read the owner's guide, no help. Tried to get help online but I'm in Utah MDT and Shark is in EDT and they're closed, so no help there. I cannot imagine having to hold the power button down while vacuuming. I will leave another review if I get this resolved, but for now I'm very unsatisfied. This vacuum replaces a Shark Duo that we've had for years and loved. We also have 2 Shark Robot Vacs, so we are a Shark Family. I'll probably have to return it and we are an hour from the city in a rural part of Utah. This is not acceptable.

I love the power and it is so light. One drawback is that it will not stand on its own and I really wish the under appliance wand had been included.

I received this vacuum as a warranty replacement. Thank you Shark! This is the deepest cleaning vacuum I’ve ever seen. My carpets never looked better!

As always with Shark, great suction and performance! Only complaint is this model is not self-standing and I really miss that feature in a vacuum. Thus, the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 .

Terrible. Gets clogged easily, looses suction after 6 months

I loved this one because they changed the roller system and removed the wires that the other models have in this model. I work with office and home cleaning and I change them every 8 months, I have about 5 in my garage for spares, but I love the power, and that I can wash the filters

Something told me not to buy this brushless vacuum, but I ignored it. If felt like it was barely picking up anything from my rug. And the cup is teeny so you will be constantly emptying it.

Very good at picking up dog hair. Would highly recommend for pet owners.

I've been using this vacuum for almost 2 years. It was designed by someone who doesn't use vacuums. When assembled, it doesn't stand upright; you have to lay it flat on the ground because it falls over due to its poor design. The debris bin capacity is very very very small; this means you have to vacuum the same room 3 times and empty the debris bin every few minutes. Although my vacuum is still going strong and the beater bar doesn't get clogged with hair like my big Shark vacuums did, this vacuum only makes sense for people who live in a nearly sterile RV environment (or very tiny home) without any pets/pet hair, and for people who don't mind laying the vacuum down and picking it back up off the floor every time they need to pause vacuuming. It does switch seamlessly between carpet vs. non-carpet floors.

This vacuum started great for the first month it was pulling the crud out of carpet, hardwood car etc. after that first month it became practically useless. This thing doesn't have enough power to get anything heavier than a grain of sand into it's canister. I no longer trust this brand.

I’ve had a Dyson for over 10years and loved it . My Dyson finally gave up on me and had to go purchase a new one . Truth be told I really didn’t want to fork out close to $500- for a new one. So decided to give shark a try and I’m blown away . I like how it picks up everything and some , has a light for more visibility . I thought having a cored would bother me , but it doesn’t . I don’t half to worry about charging a battery or a battery dyeing on me . There’s only 2 little things I don’t like about it , it doesn’t stand on its own and secondly it’s a little rough changing the adjustments. But definitely worth it .
