Failed right out of the box
Right Out of the box the Asus Viviobook booted up fine and then never again. After a lot of time with help desks, looks like it’s a corrupted boot file. Requested to ship back. I’m now without a PC. This ASUS replaced one I bought 13 years ago & that one was trouble free all these years. I’m disappointed

The budget laptop with a soul
My ASUS Vivobook 14 is equipped with an Intel i3-1315U processor, 16 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage. It offers a well-balanced combination of features and price. The laptop is lightweight yet well built, and the keyboard is excellent. The solid charger with its large plug conveys a sense of reliability. However, from the full resolution screen I would expect better contrast ratio. Overall performance is very decent for a budget laptop. Highly recommended!

Great laptop
I love this laptop. I was using a chromebook but I could not use word or excel. This laptop is the perfect size and I love the keys have a slight click.

ASUS laptop
First ASUS laptop. Needed a new laptop since my Lenovo's network adaptor died. Tried to fix it but to no avail. This laptop is just right for what I do and the price was great. Has all the things I use and need and that works just fine for me. Have been buying Lenovo's for the past 15 years but felt that the build quality started to waver. I wanted to try something new, and this ASUS caught my eye. I don't need a laptop to break the bank just something that is priced right and easy to use.

A Nice Low cost Laptop Computer
A very nice computer. I missed out on the touch screen and facial rec/finger print scanner. That is on me. The best was the Office/Windows 360 Life.

Budget Windows 11 Home. You'll Need Cloud for File Storage
1. Shipping by Vendor (Firewall, Brooklyn) was excellent & free (about 3 workday days). 2. Budget Windows 11 laptop that has low-end, entry level parts. OK for people who are not tech savy, or not a productivity tool. 3. Good points: CPU is Intel i3, rated at 11,200 (Passmark CPU), compared to 8,500 to 10,000 of Ryzen 3 7XXX of others). 8GB RAM is OK (some have only 4GB, AVOID). Storage is PCIe NVM @ 128GB SSD. SSD is severely hampered by PCIe Gen 3, 50% potential of Gen 4 in $500 laptops. 128GB is typical of many, but very small. You'll need Cloud or External storage if you have lots of photos or productivity or important files. 4. The biggest LOW of this is the LCD screen - I wanted 14" for small frootprint. No matter how I position the screen angle, about 1/4 of screen is dark, off it's "sweet" line of sight. Screen is bright enough, but contrast and resolution are very BUDGET low. Useable, and OK for productivity work, but not recommended if your job or business is in using this laptop. 5. Weight is a little over 3 lbs (good), and battery life is typical, rated at 45wH (compared to 65wH for $500 laptops). Recharger ISN'T USB C, and uses old style plug-pin (and ASUS instruction is to use ONLY that charger), so modern Universal chargers aren't recommended. 6. The Laptop plastic shell seem universal, that ASUS uses for more expensive Laptops, and sturdy & strong enough. I replaced the 128GB PCIe SSD with a bigger Gen 4 one, so I know it's Gen 3, and felt the shell is sturdy (and I think ASUS claims its MilSpec, but there's no metal in the shell). 7. Rated for WiFi 6, and I was able to get 200+Mps on my home 5Ghz router at "excellent" max bar. For a $250 laptop, it means $125 to make / assemble it, so bargain parts were used wherever possible. Still, I recommend. Prefer over the HP bargain laptops. The bigger screen laptops may be frustrating, if the screen is as "low end" as this laptop's.

Works very well. I would have prefered to have a touchscreen, but for the price, it's OK. Battery doesn't last as long as they say.
