Q: The label says "Unscented" but the ingredients list in the photograph includes fragrance (Parfum). Can anyone please clarify this?

  • A: Unfortunately, I read unscented and believed it to mean “no smell or unnatural perfume” … how they’re allowed to claim “unscented” but still add a heavt perfume smell is beyond me and it should totally be illegal. But since no one is really in charge at the FDA anymore, companies will discover the free pass and bamboozel us with their fake products. I am SO frustrated and tired of spending money on products with fake claims. This is a no brainer…. Don’t put “unscented” on your label if it has a smell!!!!

  • A: “Unscented” doesn’t actually mean unscented. They are allowed to add masking scents to make it smell less chemically or whatever. “Fragrance free” = they can’t add fragrance but they purposely choose other ingredients that serve another purpose but also have perfumy scents so it’s not really fragrance free either. It’s maddening!

  • A: “Unscented” products almost always contain some kind of fragrance designed to mask or neutralize the smell of the other ingredients. It’s a very misleading term used by many manufacturers. Those who are sensitive to fragrances should look for “fragrance-free” products. Neither of these marketing terms is regulated, and both might contain scent (always read the label), but “fragrance-free” is less likely to contain fragrance, in my experience.

Q: What is the best way to use this product? If you apply it and leave it, it just stays wet. It takes a few minutes to dry. I like it but I need a more effective way to apply it.

    Not bad and it's great for affordable price

    it's my first time using the mitchum brand deodorant I never heard of it to be honest, I used degree for years now it's pricey my mom suggested that I am going to buy the mitchum brand deodorant let's see how it goes and it's not bad it's pretty good and zero compliments for a affordable price, I love it's a gel with aluminum it make my clothes stay cleaned without messing like the white solid ones which sometimes they do sweat a little on my clothes and with mitchum it stays dry in seconds so I do like it I will definitely purchase more for now, mitchum aluminum gel is a great affordable deodorant and me as a hairy man it does make my armpits dry and fresh.

    I should have read the reviews before buying. This is NOT unscented! It has a smell. It is not terrible but I specifically bought this because I did not want it to have a smell. If you are looking for truly unscented deo, look elsewhere.

    NOT unscented. Pretty stupid to label it unscented when it clearly, overtly, obviously has a scent that I could smell all day - and then my jacket smelled too. If you don't want perfumed armpits this is not for you.

    Turned some parts of skin red

    Woman here. I normally use Mitchum Pure Fresh Invisible Solid. Wanted to try the Mitchum unscented and they only had it in men's. It kind of has a fresh manly scent despite being labeled as unscented, but I didn't mind. Only used it once because after it showed a white outer line when applied, it made that same area of my skin red the next day. No burning sensation or anything, just took a few days before it disappeared. I don't know, maybe I'm just sensitive to it.

    I am a woman

    I use this and don’t stink like an onion by midday. I have tried every solid you can think of and I still stink/sweat badly. Mitchum doesn’t have a gel double pack for women in my store. I am not sure if they even sell them. I use this and (for now) I am very pleased. The very light scent is not bad. I spread it evenly so it is not goopy. I am just happy to find something that doesn’t give an embarrassing smell by midday.
