Organic Thompson Raisins - 12oz - Good & Gather™

Warning! Smell before you buy or eat! I Received 3 boxes that are tainted inside and out with some kind of chemical or pesticide (sprayed in the store? warehouse? shipping truck?). I didn't smell the outside of the container; I just opened it and put a handful in my mouth. I could smell/taste a strong chemical, like laundry detergent or pesticide or something that at the same time made the roof of my mouth feel "burn-y" or raw. I spit them out immediately, wrote "Bad" on the package, and started to smell the others in my pantry that I had gotten with that same order. In total 3 of the raisin canisters had that same smell (inside and outside...both the raisins themselves and their container had the same strong smell, but did not seem like they had been saturated (there was no stain on the outside of the container, and I had to break the safty wrap and peal an intact inner seal to check the raisins inside). All three containers had the same smell inside and out, but one had a different best if used by date. (I'm sorry I don't know which store or warehouse they came from). I usually log in in the Lecanto or Spring Hill Florida store, but I don't check the shipping label's return address. Here are the Best if used by dates of the tainted boxes of raisins that I received: 08JUL2027806:18 30 MAR 2027 8 11:14 2 packages had the JUL, one had the MAR, and the MAR one was in a smaller, darker font. Our family orders these same organic raisins every week, and they're usually excellent; fresh, moist, just perfect. We didn't have any reason to believe this shipment would be any different. I hope Target resolves this supply chain, storage, or product quality issue soon!

Pros: Taste really good and natural. No sugary taste. It doesn't have a sandy taste like Sun-Maid. I will always buy this over Sun-Maid. Cons: There ar so many stems but I guess that's to be expected when it's organic.

Great quality, unfortunately the container comes 1/2 empty it’s more than the shrinklation excuse.

These are not as good as name brands. A lot of hard raisins and stems

These are the smallest raisins I’ve ever purchased. Even smaller than regular raisins. Thompson raisins are supposed to be larger, not smaller.

Best raisins out there! They are so plump and big. I love them!!! The flavor is perfect

I've bought thompson raisins from other brands and loved them, so I tried these. Regret. They are mushy, stems aplenty, and just not it.

DO NOT BUY. // NEEDLE LIKE STEMS ON A FEW I sure don't want to swallow one of those. I'm inspecting each raisin before I eat it.

my kids love these raisins on ants-on-a-log! my husband enjoys them on salads. love that they are organic.

I don’t know if organic means it comes with dirt on them but there was a lot of crunchiness to them, not good. First I thought it was seeds in them but then I felt like I cracked a molar. I had my husband taste the and he too thought it was dirt.

Best raisins ever. The only ones my family will actually eat.

Dry and loaded with stems! Never saw this in a container of raisins.

The taste and quality of the raisins are good, even though raisins are small. Wish there was less plastic involved with this organic product…and the container is huge compared to quantity of raisins ( maybe half filled container)

Not a bad price for organic raisins, and a fantastic price for raisins of this quality. Lovely uniform size, great texture -- just the right chewiness, perfectly sweet, tasted so fresh. New favorite right here.
