A: Hello Cecilia - That's a good question. We don't recommend this item to be used on a dog due to the different texture designs. Q: are those bristles as far out as they go? they hardly come through the brush, just the tips?

I did not have high expectations… I just needed something in a pinch until I got “a better one.” This brush is all we need! It does a great job gently removing mats from our Maine Coon and keeping her super fluffy. We use it daily. Love the self cleaning part and that she doesn’t mind it at all (after a couple days of her getting used to it, distracting her with kitty tube treats).
This cat brush is a must have!

Works wonders for both my long hair kitten and fully grown lab ! Extremely effective. Our other two animals (short hair kitten and another lab) don’t really need the brushing, but enjoy it. The push button is a great feature as well. Buying another one so all 4 don’t have to wait to be brushed!

Not sure if I just got a bad brush but I hate this thing. The button does absolutely nothing and doesn’t push the hair off of the brush, I still have to pry it out of the bristles.

The fur removal button is a great idea, but the tiny metal wires on the brush are very, very sharp. I've used careully and lightly on my little 10 lb. cat with concern of cutting her skin. Recommended with caution: wires very sharp, fur removal handy.
