Unsteady and not attractive

This bookshelf is not at all sturdy. The bright silver screws show and take away from any aesthetic appeal it may have. Otherwise, it works.

Unstable and unattractive

The four side rail pieces are actually in two pieces. Although this makes delivery a bit easier, it is unattractive in person as the joints are clearly visible. There are also various defects in the paint right out of the box. Worst of all, the whole unit is… rickety. It is not very stable on its own. Overall, not a great unit. There are other similar ladder bookcases for this price point, but more sturdy and attractive.
