  • A: The sterilization lid is used on the Dr. Brown's Insta-Feed. when sterilizing. Per instructions: 1. Place small parts (nipples/teats, pacifiers/soothers, etc.) to be sterilized in the Lift-Out Basket. 2. Place the Lift-Out Basket with small parts into the Warming Chamber. 3. Place the Adapter Ring on top of the Warming Chamber. 4. Place the Sterilizing Lid on top of the Adapter Ring. 5. Plug in the power cord and press the Power Button. The Indicator Light will turn on, indicating the sterilizing cycle has begun. WARNING: DO NOT open Sterilizing Lid or reach over the appliance while in use, as steam will cause burns and serious injuries. Do not touch hot surfaces during or immediately after use. 6. When the Indicator Light turns off, the sterilizing cycle is done. 7. Allow the unit to cool for at least 10 minutes before removing the Sterilizing Lid, Adapter Ring, and Lift-Out Basket

Q: I am confused on the amount of water to add to the warmer for 8oz plastic bottles. It says 14ml then another 2ml of water but it seems like a very small amount of water.

    Boils bottle

    No matter how little water i put in the bottle comes out steaming, burns my finger when I test it. Highly DON'T recommend

    Do not buy

    I purchased this new and it came in a sealed box. I have had this 3 days. I have tried cleaning with a bottle brush and just letting it cycle through with water then cleaning it out. It will not go away. I have returned for a refund

    Stopped Working Week 3

    I was gifted the bottle warmer for my baby shower and was excited since it’s a Dr. Brown’s brand. The warmer came as part of a gift set and I wished it didn’t as it has stopped working. Not only that but I’ve had difficulties trying to warm the milk up so that it’s not too hot. Each time I’ve had to take it out 2-3 times or allow it to fully go through the cycle and end up putting the bottle in an ice bath. 0/10 would not recommend. Wish I could return it.

    Way too hot

    I am a first time parent and this bottle warmer gets WAY too hot in my opinion. I fear I'm scalding the milk and ruining the nutrition. I warm up a bottle then have to put a flexible ice pack around it to cool it down to a safe temperature for my son to eat. Very dangerous if a parent isn't aware and is trusting the machine to heat the milk to a safe temperature.

    Stopped working after 3 uses.

    Bought this for my first baby because it came highly recommended by friends. Worked great the first couple times and then quit working completely. Checked to make sure it had power from the outlet and it still wouldn't work.

    Wasted my money on this...

    I was excited when purchasing this, and quickly found myself disappointed. It does not turn off, therefore i have to watch over it and take the temperature of my milk has it just keeps boiling and boiling. Which completely defeats the purpose of why this was purchased.

    It’s good but can get better

    I love how it’s handy especially if you are having your little one for the first time. The only complain I have is it gets too hot and the steam kind of scares me if that gets fixed I’m sure this is worth the price. I have it explored the sterilizing part of it as yet . I wish they have explained it thoroughly.

    Didnt work

    Did not work at all with Mam bottles. I followed instructions completely and watched the video and after 3 cycles milk was still as cold as it was right out of the fridge.

    Unsafe

    Same issue as other review. Smells like burning plastic and has a brown residue on the bottom. Does not seem safe. Also, since breast milk needs to be warmed to a specific range to maintain nutrients I don’t know how one setting for frozen, refrigerated, and room temp milk insures that.

    Great features!

    Lasted 3 weeks

    Item was great for 3 weeks which was part of the bottle baby gift set which retails at 99.99. The bottle warmer stopped warming bottles within 3 weeks or use and the milk would still be cold. Since the bottle set was purchased in April and finally opened in September the return is now out of return date. Waste of money and I’m sure some people loved the product but ours did not last long.

    Quickly heats up bottles

    Dr Browns gave me this product to try and for the most part I love it. Pros - heats up fast, very versatile, easy to clean, very compact. Once water is all evaporated the unit shuts off, love that. Cons - i wish the measuring cup was bigger and the info chart was laminated. Very easy to overheat bottles, I did alot of trial and error mostly because any bottles I've given my baby have been half breastmilk from the fridge and half formula at room temp. Finding the right water proportion what worked for me was a bit hard as it keeps heating until water is gone there is no set temperature that it heats the bottle to, it shuts off when water is all gone.

    Heats up fast!

    I just starting using this bottle warmer and so far it’s great! It heats up very fast so I’m getting used to the temperature control for my bottles but it is great!
