This watch has been helping in keeping track of some lifestyle changes for me. The smaller screen was a little daunting at first, but it's easy to learn. Connecting it to the app offers up challenges and rewards that help motivate a person to keep going.

I got my VivoSmart 5 about a month ago. I'm still trying to get used to it and all the functions. However, last week, it might've saved my life. I had no symptoms, and was sitting quietly watching a tv show when I got the first Abnormal heartbeat alert. I'd never gotten it before so it surprised me. About 15 minutes later; the alarm had gone off a couple more times; I suddenly felt an intense pressure and pain in my chest and up into my jaw. I was able to tell husband that I felt like something was very wrong, He called 911 for me. The paramedics informed me that these type of devices have helped many people in this same way. I was able to get to the hospital and after more testing, it was determined that I apparently didn't have a heart attack, however, there was something pretty wrong with my EKG. I am seeing a cardiologist now as we try to figure out what happened and what we can do now. In the meantime, I have a constant source of information on my wrist. I can show the info to my doctors to help them to help me.

I purchased the new watch because the previous watch's battery would expire after a year. Although I like the new features and look, I do not like the fact the watch has to be charged and the charger port is not covered for water activities. I used the watch in the pool and it appeared to delay loading the features until I put it on the charger and had to update it again in the app. The fact that I have to charge it causes missed updates with steps or other options that cannot be counted until its charged. In conclusion, the watch is great but having to charge it periodically sucks! Love the watch though!

This is the second viviosmart 5 I have purchased. The first one lasted 2 years before the screen went black but kept recording steps. I like the size of the stepper. It stays on securely. It works well.musical

I like the look of the unit but I don't like that you have to wear it very snug for the readings. It did the sleep monitor when I first got wore it and now can't seem to get it back on

I was looking for a company I could trust with my data and this brand kept coming up in my searches. I like that it's not huge. I enjoy the data and look forward to my sleep scores and my step counter. I hope to understand better how to use it. It's easy to wear when I'm sleeping and I love the reminders to get up and move and to log my hydration.

I’ve had my Garmin for almost a month. Was surprised at how many features it has. Still working on understanding the results that are displayed on the app. Also wish the user manual was easier to access

I like the smaller, simple black band. I didn't want a big watch with bells and whistles to manage my daily life! Just the basics. It gives me that and a little more. Easy to read and configure. My only concern is that the weather app freezes sometimes. If I wear the battery out and recharge it, it seems to be fine.

It is quite disappointing. Literature states 7 day charge. It barely retains charge for 3 days.

Ownership of this Vivosmart 5 watch is one of the biggest disappointments ever. Sleep score and Stress evaluation not accurate or consistent. All of this feeds Body Battery which shows I should be dead by now. How do I return the watch for another try with a new one? I have had this for about a month. Sincerely Jay Evers 8/20/25
FitBit Luxe replacement

I bought the Garmin hoping the battery would last longer than my last Fitbit Luxe that wouldn't hold a charge for more than a day after having it since May 2023 when it would last for almost a week on a single charge. This Garmin lasts maybe 2+ days on a single charge to 99-100%. In that regard, I am disappointed in it. The features and size are similar to my Fitbit Luxe which is why I purchased this model. The only features I use/monitor are steps, calories burned, heart rate & sleep score. The Fitness age was a nice bonus finding out at age 72 my fitness age is 65.

This is a replacement for a Vivofit 4 (which I loved). I am technologically inept and find the Vivosmart too complicated. I would trade it for a Vivofit in a heartbeat. Garmin makes fine products but the problem is me.
