Long term review
Have had the watch for a few years. When I first got the watch I loved it. However, over time the watch lags a lot, the data doesn’t download to the app like it supposed to, the battery doesn’t last like it used too, and it just doesn’t run like it was/is meant too. Disappointed…I bought this as more than just a watch to tell time and that’s about all I’m really getting from it today. If it is supposed track data, but won’t download it, most of the functions are useless.

Exactly what I was looking for
The features and battery life are amazing, my only complaints are that the bezel/case has a lot of texture and seams that are basically impossible to completely get dirt out of, and I would prefer it be made of metal such as titanium to avoid digs in it.

I never leave the house without my Instinct. This thing has so many features. I mainly use it for health insights and tracking my movement. I love using it in the winter to track my routes, descents, and dropping pins on the map. Very rugged watch.

Awesome update and upgrade
Garmin is such a great company. They stood by the warranty on my original Instinct Tactical and replaced it with the awesome Instinct 2 Solar Tactical. I am loving it, and the altimeter and other sensors are working extremely well. I’m so stoked to try out the backcountry skiing mode this winter! All the different sport modes and downloadable workouts are great!

Sometime technology can be too much, sometimes it can be not enough. This watch has the exactly what I’m looking for. The focus on what matters with very little distractions. I love it! Good battery & features, but heartcount inaccurate
Love the long battery life, great integration to my iphone, features with notification and step count. Haven’t used the navigation and other features enough to be familiar but is a good upgrade from my iWatch series 5. However the heart count is inaccurate, I heavily leaned towards buying a new smart watch to monitor my heart count while working out and even when my heart rate is above 125 tge readibg shows 90 and I am quite disappointed.

So far, this watch has been excellent. It keeps up with strength training and runs accurately, keeps track of health information, and gives helpful insights into training condition. I just hope the battery lasts, as the original Instnct Solar failed far too early in it's life. .

Great watch
The watch is well built and have been wearing it for a couple of years now. It does a lot of things and can take a while to get it tailored for your needs. My setup primarily keeps track of my sleep, steps, calories, heart rate etc. I also have on my screens the compass, elevation, temperature and weather. In this configuration the watch can run without recharge for 25 days. If you enable an activity such as hiking, hunting etc it will kick that down to aeound 10 days. I download the data to my iPad via the Garmin Connect app a few times a week. The app is very helpful for history as well as your daily activities. It will also sync to your iphone for texts I am still learning things all the time.
