Q: Can you think about changing the can to make it easier to open? It's difficult as is with only 1indent and then when you hold your baby it's nearly impossible to open. Love the product not the can!!!
A: Agreed! Maybe use paper cardboard packaging on the bottom part so I can make it easier to open to and more affordable
submitted byLady v - 7 months agoA: Ooo yes please! With a crying baby in one hand and needing both hands to open the can.. it sure can be a struggle sometime
submitted byMorg D - 5 months agoA: 1000000000% need a can that you can open with one hand while holding a baby!!!

Q: Can I use boiled water to mix, then once cooled store in the fridge for up to 24 hours? Or once heated, does it need to be used ASAP?
A: Yes, absolutely. If you want to save formula for later, you can keep it in the fridge (capped!) for up to 24 hours.

Q: Is your b-12 source cyanocobalamin?
A: What thats unfortunate that it is not a methylated for of B12 as it is much better absorbed.

Q: What is the expiration date ?
A: Great question! Each unopened can of ByHeart is good for 24 months, but for exact dates, you can see the "Use By" date on the bottom of your can. Once opened, our formula can be used within one month (be sure to tightly cover the can after each use!).

Q: I noticed the can is different. Is the formula the same as it was before?
A: We did update our packaging - thanks for noticing! We made design updates to make sure the information on the label was easy-to-digest (pun intended) and could act as a helpful guide for parents looking to learn more about our formula and its benefits. But while our label might’ve changed, our formula did not! Additionally, to ensure we’re always living up to our mission — to make the best infant formula in the world — we’re constantly certifying new suppliers and sources of our key ingredients, like our lactose blend. See more specifics about our certified-clean ingredients on our website.
submitted byByHeart Sleepless Squad - 2 years agoBrand expertA: The formula is the same. The can is different because they now manufacture their own cans (which was outsourced previously).

Q: We seem to be struggling with finding the right formula for my baby girl (2 months). They’re thinking perhaps it’s a cow’s milk allergy or just a sensitivity to the milk. With this said, would ByHeart be an option I could consider?
A: Thanks for considering ByHeart! Our infant formula is made with a patented protein blend that includes whole milk, so it does contain dairy. While we have not studied tolerance of our formula specifically in infants with dairy sensitivity, results of our clinical trial showed our formula was easy to digest with less spit-up and softer poops in our nationwide clinical trial. That being said, infants have a wide range of sensitivities, so we suggest you speak to your pediatrician to see if ByHeart might work for you and baby!

Q: You also have whey in your baby formula, is that whey also 100% organic grass fed whey?
A: Thanks for asking! All ingredients that are organic are labeled organic on our nutrition label. The whey protein is not organic. In developing our formula, it has been essential to our team to not only source quality ingredients but to also ensure that we are building a reliable and secure supply chain that can continue to support the needs of families as our business grows and as market dynamics continue to shift. With that in mind, we source from suppliers that we know and trust, who meet our highest standards of excellence even if the ingredients are not certified organic. We feel confident in the quality of the ingredients in our formula including both the organic and non-organic lactose that we use.

Q: With ByHeart being easier for digestion, is it good for protein intolerance?
A: Thank you for your question. Our infant formula is made with grass-fed whole milk, so it’s unfortunately not appropriate for babies with a cow milk protein allergy. Please reach out to your pediatrician for recommendations about what's best for your baby. That being said, we are always listening to what our community is interested in, and will absolutely pass this inquiry along to the innovation team.

Q: Is there lead found in the formula? Recent consumer reports suggest that there is lead in the formula and that the levels are high. Is this formula safe?
A: Hi there! As parents ourselves, we know that any mention of things like heavy metals and chemicals can feel unsettling. The experts have said “it is virtually impossible to get to zero with lead”. Heavy metals, such as lead, are naturally occurring in our environment including in soil, drinking water, food, breast milk and infant formulas. We want to assure you that ByHeart is and has always been safe for your baby. As the Consumer Report noted, ByHeart tested below the limits of the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment Prop 65 Maximum Allowable Dose Level (MADL) for lead, which Consumer Reports has identified as the strictest standard for safety. We are here to help, if you have any further questions please reach out to us directly @hello@byheart.com
