Q: How do I shut off the lights? I press the button and hold it down and it just switches the modes.

Q: How do I keep it on only the fade setting? Every time I press the button it still cycles through all of them. I understand it’s a plug & play design w/a control center on plug that allows to cycle between effects, but how do I keep it only at one?

Extra Unnecessary Light
I bought these lights and was so excited to set them up. In the description, it’s said that there are ten string, which there is. However, there’s a light that stands alone, and you can see that in the picture that I provided. It came like that out of the box and It makes the lights look weird because there is distance between the first and the third, it just looks like there’s something missing.

Beware of burning lights!
I have had these hanging near my daughter’s canopy bed for a few months. I started to smell a burning smell but could not figure out where it was coming from. A day later the lights were shorting out and one of them started burning/smoking. Thankfully we were home when this happened.

I bought these a few years ago and they were perfect warm fairy lights, but the new version is bright cool white lights and not good for inside decoration. They also changed the design of how it plugs into the wall, so the top horizontal part can only be a few feet from the plug, whereas the old version connected via the bottom of one of the vines so it was very seamless. Very sad they redesigned them and made them worse

Cool white lights
I ordered two sets hoping they would match the two sets I bought last year. Unfortunately they do not match. Last year's are warm white. This year's are cool white. Nowhere in the Description or Specifications does it state that they are cool white which is an important consideration when buying LED lights. I returned them.

It’s my own fault for not reading closely but these lights, meant to make my bedroom cozy and comforting, nearly sent me straight into depression mode. They had the quality of light that grocery store has, or someone’s headlight behind you on the highway at night. Very cold LED- might be nice for outside but just abysmal and stark inside.

Pretty Lights but Lacking Key Features
I was pleasantly surprised to find that these lights are cool white instead of warm, even though I initially expected them to be warm. Check the small print on the back of the box to make sure you’re getting the color you want. The cool white tone actually complements my bedroom aesthetic perfectly. I also enjoy the settings to make the lights blink at different speeds which is great for a festive mood. However, the main downside is that the lights aren’t remote-controlled and can’t be dimmed. To change the settings, you have to press the button on the power adapter, and turning them off requires unplugging them. I’ve connected them to a power strip with a switch to make it easier, but it can be inconvenient if you prefer a minimalist setup and dislike dealing with extra cords. I will be returning these and purchasing a a different set with the features I prefer.
