Concord Foods Fresh Success Mild Guacamole Mix - 1.1oz

This tastes very funny compared to the McCormick’s mix.

Everyone who tries my guacamole tells me it’s the best they ever had when I use Concord Fresh Success. The key is to use about 1/3 of a package to 3 avocados and prepare it one hour before you serve so the mix has time to soften and blend with the avocados.

I normally don’t pay attention to negative reviews but I wish i had this time! This was by far the WORST guacamole mix I have ever tasted! It tasted like over salted taco seasoning. Will never ever buy again! HORRIBLE!

Although I of course, like to make my own fresh guacamole, when I have time, I sometimes use a mix like this during the week in a pinch. I thought this one was really terrible though and would not purchase it again. I usually use half of a packet at a time, but I threw this one in the trash. Was sour and had cumin in it which I’m not a fan of. Would not recommend.

I love this seasoning. It is perfect for guacamole amazing flavor, and spice.

1. This is a powder mix. It is very difficult to stir in. If you ignore this review and buy it anyway be sure to use three avocados because the mix is so strong in flavor that if you make it with two, you can’t taste the avocado at all. 2. That super strong flavor is very very bad. I wish I had read the ingredients because the third one is sour cream powder. Yes, sour cream flavor in a guacamole mix!!! Never in my life have I had guacamole where sour cream was used. And really it doesn’t taste like sour cream. It tastes like something trying to be sour cream. The best way to describe it is if there is such a thing as sour cream flavored salt. 3. If you find yourself in my predicament where you bought it and all you are tasting is the sour cream salt, I recommend adding in some salsa verde and a lot of lime juice—that at least kills the horrible flavor enough that you don’t have to dump the whole thing in the trash. It’s still not good, but it’s palatable.

I struggled to make good guacamole until now. This tastes great and super easy to make. Saves a lot of money when I can now just buy this and some avocados instead of the expensive prepared guacamole. My daughter who is 11 often makes this to take to school.

Best mix. Tastes just like the guacamole from my favorite Mexican restaurant.
