I've owned the Undercoat deShedding Tool for Large dogs with short hair for over 12 years with good results. Dogs include two labs and a springer spaniel with fairly vigorous weekly use. Wonder if folks are applying too much pressure and breaking the tool-

Does a great job on our Lab. However as others have stated handle is not made to last so it is no wonder the warranty is so short. Good product terrible warranty given the price. Would not recommend or purchase again .

Like the experience of many others the handle broke off of mine while using it. Before it had broken it had worked very well at deshedding my German Shepherds but extremely disappointed that after spending this much money it is now worthless. Would have rated a 4 or 5 but had to go with a 1 due to breaking.

This is my second furminator - I needed a larger size. It works just like the old one except it has the built-in protector - no cap necessary. As far as automatic hair removal - nah - I still do it by hand. There are a couple of reviews that made me worry about the handle. No problem - it's just like the old one. They must be pressing WAY too hard on their poor dog!

I had a tough time spending so much money on a brush but the Furminator came so highly recommended I decided to go ahead and buy one. It worked pretty well for what it is sold for Today while getting my dog ready for his annual vet visit I decided to brush him out as he's been shedding quite a bit as it gets warmer. After two or three strokes my Furminator just fell apart. When I examined it I was pretty horrified to see that it was held together by nothing more than two pieces of plastic molded in then apparently glued together. I've had it for a few years Furminator only gives a 30 day warranty but for the price I expected better than glued plastic.
So much hair!

I do not leave reviews frequently because I'm too lazy but this product has blown my expectations out of the water. I have a Great Pyrenees and his shedding is pretty substantial on the regular but now especially since it's gotten warm it's getting bad. I had bought this to try it out and see if I got good results. He gets these clumps of hair in his fur of all the undercoat shedding off and normal brushes can't get it. This brush gets all those clumps out without cutting his beautiful hair on top it seriously is amazing. I brushed him with it 4 days ago for about 20 minutes and for the past 4 days he barely has shed any hair at all. Normally when I pet him clumps come out but I seriously have seen almost no hair come out when petting him. AMAZING PRODUCT!

I own a German Shepherd. Yesterday I bought a FURminator deshedding tool. Let me tell you it's the best I have ever seen! I was using a wire deshedding brush on him every day. Today I used the FURminator and took a whole Shepherd off of him. This tool is AMAZING and worth the money!
