Smell is offputting
I’m not sure if I experienced this because of the body wash I used, but it’s so bad I am not willing to try this product again. It smelled ok from the bottle, as soon as I put it on my skin I smelled like a microwavable mini corndog.

The oils by this brand are always great and affordable but this scent truly puts a distaste on them. It is a bitter, burnt rubber and wood smell that was horrible initially to just use on my arm. I tried to break it in a bit by letting it sit for a few but the smell was so unbearable I couldn’t do but wash it off and put on my other oil. This smells nothing like vanilla or what vanilla should smell like. The worst scent.

Smells awful
I bought this since they didn't have any of the lavender one, that was a mistake. It smells awful. I can't even describe the scent other than almost savory. There's not a hint of vanilla in it. I will not be using it on my body as I don't want to smell like a marinated chicken.

Not a Gourmand Vanilla scent
NOT for gourmand girlies. If you were looking for a sweet vanilla scent this is not for you. It is moisturizing and beautiful on the skin but I can't stomach the scent. It is very off putting to me. I don't get much of vanilla at all, it's completely over taken by the Cardomom and Ginger essential oils. It's like they took vanilla and tried to make it for a spa that promotes patchouli. Not good.

The cardamom and ginger in this is very strong, reminds me of a latte in that sense. The oil smells sweet and comforting with a bit of spice once warmed on the skin. This is a unique gourmand to me as I have nothing else that smells specifically like baked goods in my possession, and to me this smells like it could be from a lovely bakery in the wintery months. Overall I saw the scent notes in the product's description and I'm very happy that this body oil did a great job executing this scent combo. :) Not a classic vanilla! But another take on it :D

Left my skin super soft
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this product aas going to be like the rest of the ones I have uses. But it wasnt. Inpoired a little in my bath water and just soaked in it. I was so relaxed indidnt want to get out of the tub. When I got out I rubbed some all over my body, thinking I needed to. I could have bypassed the after bath piling I gave myself because this stuff is so good that I coykd tell a hugh difference I n the softness of my skin from just thr one soaking. This product is not only relaxing it moisturizes the skin so well! Seems it took my skin back to the softness I experienced 15 years ago!
