I’ve used it in the Chapstick form with Blick stuff added, and now I’ve used the cream. I would definitely purchase this again. only downside I found was I think the applicator could be a little bit easier to use?

The value is great for the price because you only need to apply a small amount per application. If applied hygienically using clean hands, the tube can be shared by more than 1 individual. Blistex is a great company and this product delivers what it promises! It's very similar to another name brand product that starts with and ends with an A. Combine this with a high quality hydrocolloid patch and some L-Lysine lip balm and cold sores don't stand a chance!

It is a very small tube, but a little goes a long way, which is great as the price will vary depending on where you purchase. It helps with that burning, tingling, or itching and what is great is that it's the only over the counter cream FDA approved to shorten the healing time. It is not sticky or greasy and does not have an awful scent to it. It's best to use at the first sign of a cold sore or blister coming on.

When applied it is white in color and does fade over time as it absorbs into your lips. Shortly after applying the cream I could feel it start to work. It numbs the area were applied well and keeps the sore spot moisturized. It does not really have a scent and the texture is soft and creamy. I do wish it went on clear but the white color of the cream does fade out fairly quick. I will definitely keep using it.

I was curious to see if this brand healed cold sores faster than the one they’ve always bought. However, after waiting and waiting…no one got a cold sore during the trial period! So what I can say about this product is that it is cheaper than Abreva, and I feel like Blistex is a well-known brand associated with the mouth. I would want a company that works with lips on the daily to be handling my cold sores! Lastly, Blistex has other products that can help with cold sores as well, like their medicated ointment so you are covered from all sides. I just think that this company has more knowledge and care than the other.
