Dissapinted size for the expensive price
This ointment is very very small and not worth the price!

Pump Style Abreva Defective
Do not buy this product in a pump! I have used the cream before, in the tube, and would have this time, too, but my usual stores were only carrying the pump. The cream works well for cold sores, and although it is very expensive, the cream in the tube lasts a very long time because you don't need to use much. I was leary of buying a pump, because pumps often stop working prematurely. While the Abreva pump was working, it dispensed more than needed, then after only a few uses, it stopped pumping altogether! This is very frustrating, especially given how expensive the product is. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy the pump version of this product!

Product that works
This cream is amazing. I’ve always used blistex in the past but it only helps moisturize the sore. With this cream, I could feel the difference immediately after applying and it healed within a few days.

Cold sore be gone
This is what I go for when I get cold sores yearly due to stress in combination with Lysine which in fact seems to work faster and is more natural in my opinion. They're both in my cabinet when that cold sore is peeking through! Sorry for the ugly pictures but showing how in 5 days was gone.

Please be careful!!!
I used Abreva a week after I had gotten my cold sores, I don't get them very often, but when I do they stay for weeks. Just make sure you know how your skin will react to the ointment. I used it, but after 2 days, it kept getting worse, making my cold sores so bad that it had contracted in my facial nerve. Which led to the spread of it to one side of my face. Please make sure that your skin will not have a bad reaction to this, like me. I'm not saying it doesn't work because my friend raved about it, which is what led me to use it. There are 2 pictures attached below, one when I got my cold sore, and one where you can see them spreading to my face. I'm only posting this to bring attention to this matter, not to bring harm to the company.

Didn't help me any
This made zero improvements towards my cold sore in the appearance, pain level, or duration of the cold sore. The only difference it made was in my wallet.

Great product
The reason I gave it a 3 was because of the pump it gives way to much I ended up pumping it into a small jar , the product itself is amazing

WORTH THE PRICE!
I put this on at the first sign of the heat and red bump. Usually my top lip swells up A LOT and my cold sores tend to last a week/ week and a half but it’s been 4 days and it’s basically gone. Highly recommended!

Negligence
I’ve been using Abreva since it became available, and I have noticed a pattern. Luckily now I have an anti-viral prescription from my doctor so I no longer have to deal with Abreva, which DOES NOT WORK after the initial dose. How this company has not been brought to court over its negligence in terms of advertising is mind-boggling. Because here’s the worst bit: if you try to keep a tube of VERY EXPENSIVE Abreva after you’ve used the initial one or two beads of medicine for the *next* time you get a cold sore, using that tube will MAKE YOUR COLDSORE WORSE and MAKE IT SPREAD. The people who make this product have no conscience. I will never buy it again. If you get cold sores, talk to your doctor and get a prescription. This stuff is snake oil.
