Contain unwanted odors in your home with this Odor Block Trash Can. Its large capacity makes it a great large kitchen trash can—you can throw food scraps away without worrying about the smell! You won't have to remove the bag early because of any odors, which saves you trash bags and reduces trips to take the trash out. Keep your home smelling fresh with this trash can. Hefty Odor Control lid is not designed to be “air-tight”, it is designed to control odors from escaping the wastebasket. The TPE on the underside of the lid seals on the ring that sits on the base to keep odors from coming out of the trash. Available in Graphite.

  • A: Well I checked this website for a replacement lid… yeah they sell it BUT after shipping costs, buying a replacement lid will cost approx. $16. You can buy a whole new garbage can with a new lid for $21…. Just felt like sharing ;-)

    Lock breaks, replace unit every 3-6 months

    I should not have to replace the whole can every 3-6 months because of the stupid locking mechanism breaking!! This is our 3rd or 4th one in 2 years because the grey piece breaks and then the lid won’t stay down. Such a freaking waste! I’m done with this trash can.

    The locking mechanism on the lid is made of cheap plastic and will break. This makes it impossible to keep it closed to keep kids/pets out or odors in.

    Really good dog proof trash can

    We originally bought a fancy (very expensive) trash can for trash and bought one of these for our recycling. The fancy one was good at first, but the step pedal mechanism quickly broke. We bought a different fancy trash can. The mechanism also broke within a few months. Meanwhile, this can has been working perfectly the entire time. We finally just got another one of these and we have one for trash and one for recycling. Keep it simple and get this one. You won’t regret it.
