  • A: If it isnt shiny, it isnt food grade stainless. It shouldn't be rough. Its probably stainless under the coating which is rediculous. I suspect the "human" answering doesn't have one to look at.

Nice quality tea kettle.

So nice with the copper accents. Kettles whistle is a soft pitch, the handle is a good distance from opening the top, and the bottom of the kettle is a heavy gauge thickness. Use it everyday and love it!

I was trying to replace a kettle that was just too loud. This one certainly has a tolerable whistle, it’s aesthetically pleasing. Cons are it’s a little bulky, steam does escape even from the lid, and most importantly (thanks to another reviewer for the heads up)- let it sit - otherwise if you take it off and pour it sputters and spills. Having the heads up was helpful but buyer beware! I also don’t love that the pour spout is also metal so have to be careful when you’re trying to open it before pouring. But it’s functional and cute

Looks lovely on the stove. Heats up quickly but will not whistle unless the lid is all the way secure which takes a bit of force. Keeps water hot even after burner is off. Bought it before out of town company came, and they loved it.

Elevate your teatime!

This teapot is so sturdy. It feels like if you drop it it’s not going to break, but it’s also not too heavy that your grandmother could not use it. It looks brand new and I’ve been using it for months now. If sometimes happens to get on, it just wipes it clean.

Scratched Paint

They shipped this loose in a box with a bakeware set I purchased for a wedding shower gift for this weekend. The paint on the kettle is all scratched up and worn off from how it was packaged and it’s not available for pickup to exchange at my local target. Very disappointed!

Possibly unsafe, inside not as described

If you plan to use this for decor only, it is a piece that will catch eyes, but I would not use it, even though the description says it is usable. The inside is not as described. It has a rough texture and no definitive answer if it is safe to use or not. It does not look like stainless steel. I trusted the description and have boiled water in it for months. The outside held up great, but inside now looks rusty, despite me draining all the water and allowing it to completely air dry after use, like instructions state. To be honest also have been feeling unwell and unusually tired lately, wondering if it has to do with boiling water in unsafe cookware and consuming this possibly poisoned water. Will be returning it.

Looks cute, poor function.

The usual underwhelming quality from Heath and Hand. I have a gas stove and the entire thing was so hot by the time it was boiling I couldn’t even hold the kettle! Not to mention, if doesn’t whistle like most kettles do.
