Q: Will the copper turn green when wet?

A: Hello Mam - We appreciate your interest in this item. Since the item is made of iron with a copper finish, it will not turn green when wet because the green patina that forms on copper is a result of the copper itself oxidizing when exposed to moisture and air, and iron does not undergo the same chemical reaction to produce a green color. Love the drying rack overall! Minus one star because there is no utensil holder. I wasn’t really thinking about that when I bought it, but I looks so much better than my black drying rack I had before so I’m keeping it haha. It is slightly smaller than my old one, but still works well. One section did come slightly bent, but was able to hammer it out…that was easier than going back to the store to exchange.

it would have been nice if the original shrink wrap was left in tact before shipping . the wooden handles are scratched and unappealing . however I'm self sufficient and know the proper wood finish to correct it with . solid construction, beautiful in person . a compliment to any personal kitchen ,large or small . or whichever creative organizational use it is put to use for . great investment .
