About this item

Highlights

  • QUILTED MATTRESS PAD, NOT A THICK TOPPER: This adds a soft cushioned layer over your mattress to soften a firm bed and shield it from daily wear.
  • NOT A FOAM TOPPER, AND NOT WATERPROOF: It is not a several-inch foam topper and it is not waterproof, so choose our Mattress Protector if spill protection is what you need.
  • FITS 8 TO 20 INCH MATTRESSES — TWIN 39" W x 75" L : Twin pad measures 39" W x 75" L with a 360-degree stretch skirt that grips mattresses 8 to 20 inches deep, including pillow tops.
  • WORKS OVER MEMORY FOAM, LATEX, INNERSPRING AND HYBRID: Works over memory foam, latex, innerspring and hybrid, and stays anchored instead of sliding or bunching up by morning.
  • MACHINE WASH ON A GENTLE CYCLE, TUMBLE DRY LOW: Wash it on gentle and dry it low, and skip bleach and dry cleaning.
  • WAVE AND CLOUD QUILTING HOLDS THE FILL IN PLACE: Wave quilting at the head and foot with cloud quilting through the middle holds the fill in place, so it will not migrate into lumps or thin out at the center where you sleep.
  • COOL TO THE TOUCH: The face fabric pulls heat and moisture away from your body, so it feels cool when you get in and stops a warm mattress holding heat against you all night.
  • NO OVERSELLING: To be straight about it, this makes the sleeping surface cooler. It is not air conditioning, and it will not cool a hot room. What it will do is keep the surface you actually lie on from turning into the warmest part of the bed.
  • OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED: Every item bearing the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for harmful substances.

Description

What this is: a quilted mattress pad twin size that adds a soft cushioned layer over the mattress. This twin bed mattress pad softens a firm bed, shields the mattress from daily wear, and sits under the sheets like a fitted sheet. What this is not: a several-inch foam topper, and not waterproof. Shoppers who need spill protection should choose the California Design Den Mattress Protector instead — that product is a liquid barrier and this one is a comfort layer. The two are often confused, and buying the wrong one is the most common mismatch in this category. Dimensions and fit: this twin size mattress pad measures 39 inches wide by 75 inches long. A 360-degree stretch skirt grips mattresses 8 to 20 inches deep, including pillow tops. It works over memory foam, latex, innerspring and hybrid beds, and stays anchored instead of sliding or bunching up by morning. How it is built: wave quilting at the head and foot with cloud quilting through the middle holds the fill in place, so it will not migrate into lumps or thin out at the center where you sleep. Fill migration is what turns a pad flat in the exact spot it is needed most, and the quilting pattern is what prevents it. How it sleeps: the face fabric pulls heat and moisture away from your body, so it feels cool when you get in and stops a warm mattress holding heat against you all night. To be straight about it, this makes the sleeping surface cooler. It is not air conditioning, and it will not cool a hot room. What it will do is keep the surface you actually lie on from turning into the warmest part of the bed. Care: wash it on gentle and dry it low, and skip bleach and dry cleaning. Certification and packaging: every item bearing the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for harmful substances. California Design Den has 20+ years of bedding expertise, and every pad ships in plastic-free packaging. Colors may vary slightly between screen display and physical fabric.

Q: The Specifications say this mattress pad in 5 inches thick. Is that accurate? That would be like having a thin mattress on top of your mattress. Interested in this pad because of the cooling effect.

    This is not only

This is not only a comfortable mattress pad, but it truly is cooling. I was surprised at how much it draws heat off as we fall asleep. I fall asleep very quickly, and I sleep so much better. It is definitely a good buy that I don’t regret.

    Instant cooling to the touch!

I loved the instant cooling feeling when opened and spread out on mattress. Only time will tell if this is actually helping sleep more comfortably ( I am an extremely hot sleeper)…. But so far no complaints.

Cooling and stays in place on your mattress.

This cooling mattress pad has helped my 13 year old son stay cool at night. It has helped with his night sweats a lot. The mattress pad itself fits his twin mattress snuggly and stays in place. It even feel cool to touch. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you or someone in your family sweats at night.

    Comfy and Slightly Cooling

Fits well, doesn’t slip around or bunch up when you move on the bed. I like the gel because it adds the comfort of a memory foam topper without adding the heat. It’s cool to the touch, but not much cooler than climbing into a normal bed for the first time. Sleeps a little cooler than memory foam or a normal pillow topper, but still not necessarily ‘cooling’. Maybe if it were a little thicker? Overall a great buy for the price if you’re looking for a little extra comfort.

    Works fine, does not cool

Fits, is a reasonable about of cushion, but if you are looking for "cooling" this is not it.

    Nice product!

I was surprised how well this worked! The twin size fit my son’s twin mattress perfectly. The cooling fabric design has made night sweating a thing of the past. The quality of the product is great and just purchased a queen size for my bed!

    Cooler Nights!

It’s definitely a fluffy mattress pad and quite deceiving. You would think something thick as this wouldn’t have a cooling effect to it, but it does! My husband is normally a sweaty mess when he sleeps and this mattress pad has helped with that a lot! Hopefully we can keep up with the none sweaty nights! This mattress pad washed well, had no problems shrinking and its comfortable to sleep on. Will definitely get one for our spare bedroom too!

    Comfortable mattress cover

Very comfortable Cooling Mattress cover. The cover adds a layer of comfort that was needed for our mattress. The queen size fit perfectly on our mattress. We don't notice much of a difference for the cooling element.

    Cooling

This mattress pad was packaged in a vacuum-sealed bag and expanded upon opening. It is cooling to the touch and helps keeps the bed cool. It seems high quality and most importantly is not loud to sleep on.

    High quality mattress pad

I have waterproof mattress pads on all my beds for protection. This mattress pad is super soft and does not crinkle or stick like other mattress pads. The cooling function is a nice feature but doesn’t feel strong through the sheet - it’s better than nothing though for us hot sleepers! The twin size fit perfectly. No complaints.

    Semi cushioned cooling cover

I’d say this is a cushioned, semi soft cooing mattress cover. There’s not much plush too it, and it’s certainly no where near a “memory foam” level. But this cover gives a little added layer of cushion and cooling that is nice for the summer. I wish it was a bit more cushioned, it needs a bit more oomf. There is a nice breathable skirting around the mattress which is appreciated.

    Super soft!

This mattress pad is incredibly soft and fluffy. It can replace the use of a pillow. Four stars are given because the cooling features are not significant. However, the extra layer of softeness makes this a product I would recommend to increase sleeping comfort. It also holds up well through washing.

    Adequately Cool and Comfortable

Right out of the packaging, you can feel the cooling benefits of this mattress pad. The material is soft, durable and feels cool to the touch. Some of the cooling benefits are lost when an additional sheet is added on top of the mattress pad, but it does provide some level of additional cool. The pad itself isn't overly thick, but for the size, it offers adequate cushioning and a sound night's sleep. This pad easily fits over a queen-sized mattress and the tuckable, elastic edges keep it from sliding or bunching. For the price, this is a decent quality product.

    Cooling cover for queen mattress

Fits my queen memory foam mattress well. Time will tell if the sheet is ok with a regular sheet on top. Some covers I’ve had in the past have caused the sheet to slip off. No crinkly sounds like some waterproof covers. Only knocked off one star as it doesn’t seem to be cooling with a sheet on top, only when laying directly on it, which I wouldn’t do with normal use. It’s a soft and comfortable material. I’ve washed and dried per instructions with no issues either, so pretty low maintenance.

    Good Cushion

This cooling mattress pad is so cushiony and soft! It washed and dried well, holding its shape and elasticity. I appreciate the "head or foot" tags! It is a good size for a standard queen mattress. It's not too loose or too tight.

    Fits on a full!

I don’t understand how this thing is so cool, but it really truly is. I got a queen size for my full bed (oops) but really, it fits pretty well. It hangs over the sides a little bit, but lays flat so I don’t mind. It has a tag that says head or foot which makes putting it on a breeze. The mattress itnisnon has a 3-4” foam pad on the mattress and the cool sheet went over it perfectly fine- so don’t fret about deep pockets! This thing has them! It’s comfy, even with sheets. Though, it’s slightly more cooling without the sheets. Overall, recommend!

    Great cooling mattress pad

I recently received this 3-Zone Cooling queen mattress pad and I'm really happy with it. It's like a comfy quilt for my mattress and it fits really well. I don't have to struggle to put it on, and it stays in place without any annoying shifting around. The cooling feature is really nice too, and it feels great, especially during this summer heatwave. I definitely recommend this mattress pad if you want to add some extra comfort to your bed with the added cooling benefit.

    Soft and cushioning.

This queen size mattress pad is incredibly soft and cushioning. I received this item for free from @Target and the #HeyBullseye program for my honest review. Fits any queen size mattress for a comfortable nights sleep. The fitted sides grip well to hold it in place.

    Waterproof and plush

This mattress pad is so much more than I expected. Obviously, wanted something waterproof that protects the mattress from stains, but the quality of this one is a nice surprise. It was easy to put on with the wrap around elastic - stays in place and could definitely fit a thicker mattress if needed. I can’t really say if it kept me cool, but I definitely didn’t feel too warm. The fabric seems like it won’t trap heat. And it really provided more cushioning than I thought it would - almost felt like a mattress topper. All in all very pleased!

    Mattress top

My husband and I sleep on a queen bed and half the nights we toss and turn from sweating even with our window unit going at full. Then when I move and the sweat comes in contact with the air, I freeze for a moment. Well with this cooling top, that has not changed the temperature issue. What has changed is that the bed feels like a soft new mattress. Now when I lay down I spread out and embrace my mattress top as it embraces me back into its soft arms.
