One thing to consider is how the light is 'projected' from these LED's, there can be glare depending upon orientation as these are 'flat' LED's- there is no shroud or 'lampshade' to diffuse/direct the light - Personally I think I'd prefer at traditional torchiere but this will certainly work.

I use this lamp in my office. I love the reading light, as it provides a little extra light onto my workspace. My office does not have an overhead light, this is the light for the entire room. It is bright and functional. My only wish is that the base were a little more wide and sturdy, as I have it placed on plush carpeting, and it can wobble from time to time.

Great style but lamp came damaged. After putting it together, returning it is a real pain so we’re going to try to fix it ourselves. What I’ve always liked about Amazon is that they’ll send you a new product before you have to deal with the return. In our case with this light, it’s the only light for the room and returning it would have meant we had none.

I love it. It is exactly what I needed to both light my room and provide light for reading that is fully adjustable and dimmable. It does not effect the television picture.

Based on the reviews I ordered this. It is extremely top heavy which made it somewhat difficult to manage for a small person (5’2’). Nevertheless I got it put together till I got to the base. Somehow the nuts/bolts were attached to the wrong cords. Struggled with it for 30 frustrating minutes before calling customer service. The young lady did her best to help, but ultimately I returned it. Instructions were useless. A video showing assembly would have been great. Ended up buying a similar lamp from Amazon that had a video demonstrating assembly you could view prior to purchase. Come on Lamps Plus, as a long time customer, you can do better than this.

This lamp arrived very well protected and in unblemished condition. Assembly took two minutes. The top lamp lightens up the entire room. The lower lamp is great for reading. Both lights are full adjustable in intensity and aim. The controls are easy to reach from an armchair next to the lamp. I couldn't be happier with this lamp.

It was easy to put together and gives off bright light. It was just what I wanted and the price was right!

This was a purchase for my college daughters apartment and it was perfect. It is dimmable and has two lights for multi purpose use. My husband made it look easy to assemble. I think my daughter will have and use this lamp for many years to come.

My husband loves his new lamp/reading light. We placed it next to his side of the bed and it is perfect. Bonus: cat cannot knock it over!

This is a GREAT lamp. I created a home office last March and my first attempt at lighting my desk was inadequate. This two tier lamp is wrong and flexible. The indirect light is excellent and the Lower arm is flexible. A great buy. I put it together myself BUT needed a second set of hands with at the end only. Assembled in 15 min.

We were worried about it not being bright enough, and we definitely shouldn't have been! It's very bright, and the dimmers are great for adjusting. It looks fashionable, and we are very pleased with the light.

This lamp is a superstar! I am using it to illuminate a room with no overhead lighting and it is so bright without being harsh on the eyes. The fact that you can dim this lamp makes it incredibly versatile, not to mention the lamp itself looks great! We are considering buying another for the living room
