Rain, snow, and other weather can penetrate the cracks of the lid and base. If using it outdoors, we suggest you cover it with a waterproof tarp, store it under a roof, or inside a garage, shed or other building to help prevent drying out from sun exposure, and to keep moisture from penetrating the unit.

Great bin for storage, but bring back the black top! Went to pick up an extra storage bin today and all the tops are yellow. Wish companies would stick to the originals and not follow the trends of other companies

Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tote has been very useful for storing seasonal sporting goods. It's large enough for winter sporting goods and bulky accessories. The bin is quite sturdy and heavy duty; however, the lid has neither an airtight seal nor a latch to secure it when closed. The yellow lid does have an audible click when shut, but will pop off if the bin has been filled beyond capacity or in the case of storing down apparel (that naturally expands with exposure to air). The lid also has indented grooves making it easy to trap dirt and dust. A microfiber cloth will do the trick to keep it clean, but this is an added hassle. There are regularly spaced holes in both the lid and bin for zip-ties or small locks. Overall, a useful bin that would do well in a climate controlled environment with minimal insect traffic. I would recommend this for use outdoors or with anything that could be damaged by exposure to moisture or insects. I received this product as part of a My-Take research study.

Made to be durable and can store a whole lot in it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this 38 gallon industrial tote and had intended to put a lot of my husband's tools and supplies in it since there is so much room in it but the weather has been unbearably hot and we didn't want to be doing that in this weather. So, I decided to use it for a different purpose for now and will change the items in it when the weather gets cooler. I was able to fill it with a blanket, spare pillow, a quilt, 3 large afghans and some sweatshirts to be worn in the cooler months. Even with all of that in it there's a lot of room left. I haven't had this product for too long but it appears to be very strong and durable. The lid is what I think is referred to as a snap-fit lid. It's easy to open and just as easy to snap it closed. If you buy more than one of this product you can easily stack them on top of each other. Another thing about this product I liked is that it is BPA-free and phthalate-free. I received this product as part of a My-Take research study

PERFECT for 18" Doll Toys & Garage Tool Sets!

We needed something sturdy and waterproof (if you have any of the specialty dolls, you know what I'm talking about!). This Sterilite Brightroom 38 gal. garage tote suits our needs PERFECTLY! It's roomy, has thick walls and lid, and the lid seals nicely and tightly We were able to get the much larger and awkwardly-shaped horses, desks, etc. into this tote, as well as some of the more delicate dishware that goes with the older dolls. I did receive this tote for free for my honest review, and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have this! This tote would also be PERFECT for weirdly-shaped tool sets or miter saws, etc. You know, the ones that are too big to go in a regular bin.

Large Tote Perfect for Basement/Garage/Shed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good large tote. I have placed many heavy items into the tote and lifted it on to a shelf and it hardly flexed at all. I did wish the lid could be latched, but other than that it is a very good basic tote design.

EVERYTHING NOW RIGHT AT MY HANDS
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was overloaded with yarn and knitting notions and in a small 1 bedroom apartment no where to put everything. I have many closets and one closet as soon as you walk through the door is my garage/attic. I keep some coats in there but the floor is clear so I put this 38 Gal. Garage Tote on the floor of the closet and filled it to the brim with my knitting yarn and supplies. Now when I am doing a project it is easy to find everything I need. The tote fits perfectly and does not take up any space and looks quite nice with the bright yellow lid.
