A: I tried and they stayed on, don’t get me wrong. But I wasn’t confident in their ability to hold my plants and things long term. Then again I just used “strong” double sided velcro adhesive strips. Maybe if you invested in some good, sturdy adhesive pads.

A: Hi bm - Great question! It is not recommended that the guest use adhesive wall mounting strips to hold these to the wall. The backside keyholes were designed to be compatible with screw heads, so they are not design for adhesive hooks or adhesive pads. We hope this helps! - Jerith

Impossible to mount straight - useless
These shelves are designed and manufactured so badly that my contractor husband who has built whole houses could not secure them straight or securely to the wall. The template assumes the metal brackets are inserted straight - most are not. Even when they are and you follow the directions about screw length from the wall, I wouldn't put any ornaments on them. They would end up sliding forward untill they were on the floor broken. Absolute garbage.

Nice looking shelves
It looks nice. However. The paper template to measure where to drill is useless. It's not at all accurate, and now I have anchors in my drywall that are doing nothing because they're just centimeters off to the point where the shelf won't hang correctly. I swapped to a measuring tape to get an accurate measurement, and they all went up within minutes. These shelves look nice, and they're lightweight for those of us with paper thin drywall and no studs. But do yourself a favor and use an actual measuring tape. It will save you the headache of drilling more holes in your walls than actually needed.

I wanted to love these...
I wanted to love these but after hanging them…not so much. Very frustrating process. Anchor bolts are very cheaply made causing unnecessary damage to walls. This is not my first time hanging floating shelves but definitely my last.

Nice Shelves for a fair price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this five set of white floating shelves and overall I am satisfied with them. The quality is decent for the price. There were some minor marks and imperfections right out of the box. The installation was pretty straightforward and the shelves work well for lightweight items. I’m not sure that I would try anything too heavy on the shelves even with the wall anchors. Overall they are nice shelves and a good budget friendly option. I always wanted to have some cute decorations in my room to make it feel more relaxing and peaceful but always ended up junking up my window seal or nightstand. This is the perfect way to add a beautiful touch to any room. I split mine up a little and am obsessed. This set gave my room and entire makeover at a fraction of the price it would cost to have someone build shelves. I can’t recommend this enough and will be buying WAYYY more of these for other rooms of my home as well. I received an incentive to write this review.

These reviews had me scared to death. I'm as stupid as you can be and still be allowed to live on your own. I put these up by myself in like 30 mins. Didn't use the tape method (too complicated) just used the template included. Will be getting another set to fill the rest of the wall. They look so good!!!

Easy to mount floating shelves
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sturdy and well made white painted floating shelves with easy to install hardware already mounted on the shelves itself. It was quick to mount onto the wall and looks very modern and natural. The paint is smooth and scratch resistant. I like the heavy weight of the shelves themselves and how secure the hardware is designed. The shelf corners are very slightly rounded and each shelf aligned to the wall very well. This set comes with many pieces which I exceptionally love. You have one longer shelf, two medium size and two smaller shelves. Poor quality for price
I bought this set in white over the weekend and tried to install them for my room, but I was met with many challenges. I have installed many wall decor items, so I know this has nothing to do with my skills, though I will say that I am not a professional and would never claim to be. The shelves are designed to be hung by wall screws securing into hardware on the back, but the shelf hardware's design makes it extremely difficult to have the shelf sit securely and flush to the wall. To make adjustments to the wall screws length, I had to pull up on the shelf (that's how it's designed), which resulted in cracking of the shelf on the back end. This was so frustrating to deal with because I spent $40 on shelving and it broke so easily. Yes, I understand that Target is not know for its wall shelves, but you'd think that if they sell them, it should be either cheaper for the poor quality, or a BETTER material that is not a cousin to MDF board.
