  • A: • Hold small end of rod in your right hand. • Adjust so whole rod slightly larger than opening • Turn small end with right hand over & away from you til locks. • Push right end up till tight.. in place I had the same problem as everyone else. No idea why it doesn't work the other way.

    a total lemon. looks nice but it'll be on the floor. does nothing but fall, it lasted an entire 48 hours before it fell and it will not stay up no matter what I do. horrible horrible horrible. the dollar tree could never, it's that bad.

    Useless Garbage

    I guess I got a dud, but it never tightened up. I could get it close to staying up for a second, but it loosened almost immediately. The small ring between the two rods would slide down the smaller end of the rod, but it still wouldn’t hold tension even when I held the ring in place. I would say to check this in the store before buying, but since the entire thing is shrink wrapped that would be impossible.

    Surprisingly sturdy for a wide space

    I’m using this tension rod in a wide doorway (about 4’10”) to hang a pretty heavy garland, and it’s holding up without any slipping. I extended it all the way and tightened it, and so far it hasn’t budged. For the price, it’s definitely worth it.
