Q: Recently purchased this item and it has a plastic #7 which is known to contain BPA. How can we be reassured that this does not have BPA when mutilple reputable sites say to avoid #7 plastics?

While there may be plastics that fall into category #7 that do contain BPA, the plastics in this storage container do not contain BPA, and the containers have been tested to confirm that they are BPA free. A: I have a pantry full of these. These are plastic. To open, just pull the top off. There is a rubber seal on the edges of the top that kind of makes a suction when you open it.

A: Anchor Montana Glass Jar with Silver Lid - 1.5 gallon - holds 5 to 6 pounds of flour or 10 pounds of sugar, with more room to hold a scoop or 1-cup measure. I have this jar to store 10 pounds bulk organic vegan sugar. I also have the 2.5 gallon jar that holds 2 bags (10 pounds) of flour with enough room to hold 2 more pounds of flour and a scoop. Hope this helps though I saw the question only now.

A: I purchased this to hold cereal, and I found that will definitely hold 15 oz of cereal with at least an inch of empty space between the contents and lid; so possibly it could hold 17 oz at most? I have yet to test that theory though. Hope this helps!
