Q: When laying horizontally what is the width of this item and what is the maximum pound that could be put on top

submitted byea - 3 years agoA: From the instructions: To avoid sagging.. each shelf is rated at 30 lbs. If used vertically the top is rated at 50 lbs, if used horizontally the top is rated at 105 lbs.

Q: Can they be stacked horozontally - so 2 sets of 8 ?
A: The provided instructions specifically say not to stack them due to tipping hazard. You can however safely get the same 4x4 layout by putting two vertically side by side.

Q: Can a shelf be removed so you can fit something that is taller than 13" high?
A: No. It's not made that way. Anything taller than the 13.5" opening would need to be placed on the top.

Q: Can the organizer be hung up on the wall horizontally?
A: No, it is not made to hang. Too heavy and no hardware provided. Only made to sit on the floor.

Q: What are the dimensions of each division of the 8-cube organizer if it is horizontal (like "landscape" orientation)? Will it accomodate the file crates that Target sells and that are 13 5/8" wide?
