Contains carrageenan. Completely unnecessary to put an ingredient like that in children’s toothpaste. Do better. Carageenan is extremely well-known to cause inflammation. Scientists use it in experiments to cause inflammation to study *other things*, meaning it’s very solidly proven to cause inflammation. Completely unnecessary to put into anything meant for children (or adults!). I won’t be buying anything from Tom’s again. Like many other “natural” companies, it was bought out years ago and no longer has the same ethics and principles it once did.

NOT SAFE FOR KIDS
I am so disappointed when originally amazing small companies go and sell to large sell out companies. They’re in the middle of lawsuits for HIGH levels of ARSENIC AND LEAD. There is no safe amount of lead or arsenic safe for children especially if they are not able to spit out the toothpaste yet. Another disappointing case of corporate greed. Should be removed from shelves.

I would give this a zero if I could. This toothpaste has tested very high for lead and other heavy metals. Toms is facing a class action lawsuit. Target should stop selling this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s great to have a dye free option for fluoride toothpaste. We don’t always use fluoride, but I like having a better option in seasons we choose to use it. My kids enjoyed the flavor. It’s kind of gritty which can be off putting, but I thought it was good to make swallowing less appealing to my youngest. I’ve used it a few times too and liked it! I like that it’s available at many stores near me.

Natural strawberry
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the packaging is colorful and appealing and the toothpaste is in a convenient standing tube for dispensing. The little one liked the strawberry flavor. For me the flavor is mild, natural, and pleasant. The color is natural because it is dye free, and it smells natural as well. I love Tom's of Maine brand, I use the bar soaps and will try the deodorants one day. I received this product free for testing and review purposes.
