Alka-Seltzer Plus PowerMax Day/Night Cough, Cold & Flu Relief Liquid Gels - 24ct

I’ve been using this product for years. It’s the only one that actually seems to work. Like other reviewers have said though, the packaging is very hard to open, especially if you aren’t feeling well. Mostly though, the pills themselves are too round and thick and nearly choke me each time I take them. I’m not someone who usually has an issue with taking larger pills at all. If they just elongated them that would probably help. I will still continue to buy them and do recommend, if you can swallow them.

WHY IS IT SO DIFFIUCLT TO FIND OUT DOSAGE? Clearly, you take two. But HOW OFTEN????

As far as medicine it works great, the packaging however is a different matter; fire the person responsible.

It works but so difficult to swallow thought I was going to die, gave me a panic attack.

The pills are bright orange and green. It's weird to put a medicine like this into our bodies. I threw it away and used something else. There is more and more research that dyes and additives are really bad for us, especially women. I wish these companies would find better ingredients. The pills don't even need a color.

Huge fan of this product, it works effectively and quickly! My only complaint is that the pills are kind of large and a weird shape to swallow and sometimes get caught in my throat. The foil an plastic packaging is also difficult to open when feeling sick, so I suggest keeping some scissors around to help. But I'll gladly pick this over other cold & flu medicine, it works wonders!

This works great for flu and flu related sickness. Very pleased.

Love Alka Seltzer Plus! Was feeling like I was coming down with something and took a night time dose and felt significantly better the next morning!

I’m giving the alkaseltzer plus power max gel caps a 1 because there r ZERO instructions on the box, in the box, or on the back of the blister packs! I had to look this up online for my 88 year old father! How incompetent is this??

I had a sinus infection, so this always seems to help with congestion. Just wish there was more for the price.

I use these along with the Mucinex gel capsules whenever I’m sick. They give me a lot of relief.

Best OTC Cold and Flu medicine available! I swear by this when I have to get better fast and power through. I have recommended this often.

The packaging: ridiculous. I can’t ever open them without something to cut it open. The pills: shape is not it. I end up literally gagging on them while trying to swallow, they’re just too round. The AM pill doesn’t really do much, but the PM pill knocks me out within 45 minutes of taking it. It does make you feel groggy the majority of the next day though, so as someone else mentioned, taking just one PM pill is a good idea! I love the night pills, but the rest isn’t really worth it.

Love these so much, you have to start them at the first sign of symptoms. Been my go to for years! Knocks out any cold

This Alka-Seltzer Plus cold medicine is no more or less effective for me than the other over-the-counter cold remedies on the marked. But I gave this 2 stars because the packaging for the pills is extremely difficult to open. The blister packaging for each pair of pills has a “Tear Here” notch that you’re supposed to use to open the packing to access the pills. But that notch is so hard to tear that 99% of that time, when you’re trying to “Tear Here,” one of the pills comes flying out and falls on the floor. Each dose for adults is 2 pills, so you end up having to open another pair of pills to get one to replace the one that’s fallen; and you end up running out of pills a lot faster. I guess that’s Alka-Seltzer’s way of making sure that you buy more of their product more often. *SMH*

I've always liked to take the aka seltzer cold medicine that you dropped the two tablets in water. It worked great. This, did not. I ttried bothe the day and might and was sorely dissapointed. Save your money - it's not worth it.

It’s the only thing that ever seems to cut the length and severity of my cold. You do, of course, need to start it right away, but it always helps me. The night dose always helps me sleep as well. If I have to work the next day, I only take 1 of the 2 pills though, otherwise I’m groggy all day. It doesn’t help me FALL asleep, but it helps me STAY asleep, if that makes sense.
