Poor quality
I've used this eyeliner for a few years and the last 2 eyeliners I've purchased the quality has changed. Ive noticed that with sharpening that the liner color breaks off not leaving a point. If there is a bit of a pint it's not much. I causes scratching. Also if there is product to use it crumbles of the pencil. This maybe the last pencil I purchase.

Been using this eyeliner for over two years now, have had no issues sharpening! I just use a regular elf makeup sharpener and it works just fine. The eyeliner wears really well, and has all of the perks of a pencil, (application, ease of use) with the appearance of liquid liner. 10/10 would recommend, especially for sensitive eyes.

Been looking for ma dark purple gel eyeliner. Found this and absolutely fell in love with it. however, you can’t sharpen this??? i don’t understand. looked it up and you sharpen the plastic along with the gel? how’s that’s safe? also you need a special kind of sharpener. the ones that are square box with two different sizes will destroy it. this product is so good but i don’t understand how this was passed? fix it, do better.

This does glide on and stay on, but the mechanism to advance/sharpen is AWFUL!! How in the world did this pass any kind of testing? Yes, you can place it in a full size pencil sharpener (not a usual small makeup sharpener) and get a really unusual point, but it clogs the pencil sharpener. I wanted this for travel, and it is WORTHLESS for that. At bare minimum, they should have instructions on sharpening on the website. What a waste of money!!!

I am a lifelong customer… I bought this eye liner thinking I was getting an eyeliner that would move up as I twisted it! Well, sadly it is a plastic pencil and I have to figure out how to sharpen it! Ugh! I’m not going to bother! It’s going back to Target!

Waste of Money
Waste of money! I thought this twisted up. The gel eyeliner only has a small amount of eyeliner thus doesn't last very long. My pencil lasted about 2 weeks with daily use. How disappointing and what a waste of money. I purchased four of these online. I did like the looks of it and how it went on smoothly. Unfortunately, I will never buy this again.

I recently purchased the Almay all day intense gel eyeliner because I was looking for a plum color. In order to sharpen the point of this pencil again, is the most ridiculous procedure I have ever encountered! I will never ever purchase this again!

What a disappointment! I had an Almay blue pencil eyeliner that I used for a long time until it was so small I had to toss it. Well, I've already tossed this one after just a few uses. There's no way to sharpen it and no way to extend the tip. It is either warn down or pushed back into the pencil. What a waste of money!

As many have stated, it's nearly impossible to sharpen. It's apparent this company doesn't care about the people whose money made them the millions they reap in since not one company rep responded. Ladies there are too many other gel eyeliners made by corporations who are deserving of your money. Take to the court of public opinion and spread the word to boycott Almay.
